  1. As I always say, what mostly causes a replica divers watch to not be water tight is the accidental omission of gaskets. You can't assume that reps are waterproof since the QC is terrible. Maybe out of 500 watches made, they forgot the rubber seals in ONLY your watch. It happens.
  2. You will find that smaller trusted dealers often have prices lower than the big boys. In the case, Watch International are like personal shoppers, where they are willing to run out to the watch markets and search for the piece you need.
  3. High quality cases with Asia 21j inside makes for a low price point. Look at whats on offer before deciding that you can't get a good watch for less than $160. It wasn't too long ago that these were $85 watches. Prices have doubled in the last 2 years.
  4. Here's one from an RWG dealer .. http://www.torobravos2013.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=122
  5. OK here is that link I promised. You will probably have to sign up for the other Forum to read it. RWI is another one of the good watch forums, like this one. The dealer I am linking you to is WKB and is a long-time seller based in the USA. He ships USPS Priority, and is good about dealing with problems. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=47
  6. Hi! Welcome to your new hobby. If you stick around, you will learn more than you can imagine about replica watches. It sounds like you want a nice noobmariner. That's a basic but good quality Rolex submariner replica. Replica prices have gone up over the last few years as quality skyrocketed. A good quality 120 US dollar watch is a rare bird, now. I'm on my phone now but I'll add a link in a while.
  7. If the crystal reflects a lot of light, it may have single-sided anti-reflective coating or none at all. You can have this coating applied by a trusted watch technician if it bothers you too much. Also, the lume on Bell and Ross 01 replicas is not very good .. it's a problem with the whole brand. You can have that done, as well. The first thing you learn is that a replica watch is a starting point. You pick a solid watch then buy it, and build on it from there until you are satisfied.
  8. The shoulder angles and the brushing on the lugs is superb.
  9. He starts off the post by saying that all the work so far has been purely cosmetic, guys .. why tear the physical faults apart? I suppose he wanted a stock MBK piece with a bit of aging added. There's nothing wrong with that, as long as he's happy with it. And I'm sorry, but tube and stem issues are not "tells" unless you plan to sell the watch as gen. No one but the owner is going to be scrutinizing an unscrewed crown/tube area.
  10. Just have it adjusted by a pro, and you'll only have to reset it once a week or so ...
  11. Today I'm wearing my classic v1 SuperOcean super-rep, serviced by Bike Mike a couple of years ago and running like a champ.
  12. The well-known source for certain vintage watches is the nah-piek store. You have to ask to see the good ones.
  13. Mechanical watches can be adjusted to within a few seconds per day accuracy. It's a common surprise for people who normally wear battery powered watches. Even the best Swiss standard watches are only required to be 3 or 4 seconds per day accurate.
  14. Can you provide a single, solitary post from any replica forum complaining that their case has chipped?
  15. They are the names of two different factories.
  16. Welcome to your new hobby! We can help you avoid the bad aspects
  17. That depends on where you are in the World. EMS is sometimes 5 days to the USA ... normal airmail can be 2 weeks or 3.
  18. I sent him a watch built by Zigmeister, and one built by w0lf .. he messed up the keyless on both. You have to jiggle the crown to get the time-set to operate on both watches now.
  19. A decent quality replica diver's watch is made of solid stainless steel. As long as the watch assembly worker remembered to install the gaskets, you are good to go.
  20. Welcome to the forum. Did you have a brand in mind? How about a size?
  21. He set up his camera to convert the image to resemble an oil painting.
  22. If you love the idea of having a miniature micromachine on your wrist happily humming away hour after hour day after day then definitely go mechanical. If you don't want to mess with or fuss with it at all then definitely get the battery powered watch.
  23. The price you pay will depend heavily on what you want inside of the watch. A battery powered J12 will cost less than a mechanical J12. The genuine watch comes in both types, so you can choose which you want and not worry.
  24. Reg left this Forum a couple of years ago to focus on other forums.
