  1. You mean the date wheel itself? A "dwo" is a sticker. You can stick it onto anything, as long as the date window position is compatible. Like 3, 4, 5, or 6 o'clock orientation.
  2. There is no replica 2846 (low beat) and the ETA pieces are literally antiques now so ... not in supply enough to create an entire line of replica watches around them. Why is this a deal breaker for you, when you can simply buy a 2846 on eBay for around $80 and drop it in? There's a complete 2846 watch right now for $19 on eBay.
  3. That's the original "super rep" DSSD .. the EuroTimez model. That dealer doesn't exist any more. It has a gen ETA movement with Zigmeister service and Zig lume.
  4. It's like the friggin coconut on eBay who sells polycarbonate water traps for air lines as "home-made pressure testers" .. I shit you not. He says "fill it up with watches! Fill it up with water! Pressurize it! Easy!" Holy Shit.
  5. What I mean is that showing a picture of a watch in water, under pressure, does not show your whole procedure, and I'm sure you do it the right way. The picture is just a snap shot in time. When you pressurize the air with the watch on the hook, suspended above the water and then you stop pumping and lower the watch into the water .. and then you slowly release the pressure in the chamber and watch for suspicious bubble streams coming from inside of the case. You can't show that all in one picture. Right? So it looks doofy but it's not.
  6. The pictures are probably deceiving. I'm sure that's not how he pressure tests the watches.
  7. OH wait ... this is in Brooklyn/Queens so I need to use the local flavor ... AY YA FUCKIN WATCH GOT KICKED UNDAH DA FUCKIN CONVEYA BELT OR MAYBEES UNDAH UH FUCKIN DESK OR SOME SHIT FUGGETABOUT IT.
  8. Ok so they left Kennedy Airport (ISC) and are at your local postal sorting hub.
  9. There are many parts threads here, too
  10. I am not a current-gen Planet Ocean expert. I have one, and also a 2 or 3 year old model, but I don't follow the brand like other people here do. I can't offer in-depth advice but I can make a couple of comments: The bezel "fading" is caused by the factory's use of paint on the ceramic insert. The genuine watch has actual metal numerals inlayed within the ceramic material. If you use an abrasive polishing cloth or a cloth containing chemicals to clean the bezel insert, you will erode the painted numbers. It's not a "fault" per-se but something about which you must be aware when you clean your watch. My ceramic PO has never suffered fading but I have never used Cape Cod polishing cloth on the painted numerals. As far as good quality replicas being durable: I have to say that the only troubles I've had with any of the 25+ watches I own is with the movements and that can happen to any watch; genuine or replica. Oh .. and screws If you buy a watch with lots of screws, check them for tightness periodically unless you like the sensation of your watch suddenly coming loose and snaking down your arm into a trash pail
  11. When you look at replica watches, you will notice that the quality varies wildly from awful garbage to "almost as good as genuine" ~ the owner of Hublot once famously stated that the replicas were better than his watches. You have to use the tools we give you here to find out which are good solid pieces and which are best left where they are in China. When you buy from a reputable dealer, you can normally abide by the old saying "you get what you pay for" .. if you pay $80 at a dealer, you will receive a low end replica which may be fun to wear but will be nowhere close to the original piece in quality. Spending $250+ is a the other side of that spectrum. \ As far as dealers go, if you stick to the forum-recommended stores, you will get the watch you purchased, and if it is broken on arrival they will offer to fix it or if it is seized by customs in your country, they will re-send a new one. Every dealer varies beyond this by cost or service level .. some hold your hand and return emails within an hour but charge more .. some don't reply quickly but charge less .. it's up to you to decide who you want to deal with. Quality replica watches use either genuine Swiss movements or Chinese duplicates of these movements. Servicing them is easy for anyone who is qualified to work on a watch. Some replicas use the Asian 21j movement, and if this breaks you can buy a new one for $30 and simply change it out.
  12. I've seen his work on the forum for several years now, and it varies. If he has really been practicing and is committed to awesomeness, then I'd love to see a few people's examples. I suppose when you've seen people's complaints against a modder it's hard to forget them. You have to wash those perceptions away with a flow of great work.
  13. Let's be honest for once here .. PBdad's work is variable. v a r i a b l e
  14. You don't want the best turn around. You want the finest artisan Vaccum.
  15. Glad to have you! Read all you can here, about your new hobby and you will not regret it. You'll be able to buy replica watches and know you are not being ripped off by the Sea of shady dealers out there.
  16. Other than the "Major" TDs there are Mom n Pop or single-owner-operator stores who are happy to scour the watch bazaar malls of Asia looking for your watch request.
  17. When you register for the store, let them know you are on RWG for an additional discount. Also set the currency to your proper country since this site defaults to AU dollars. http://watchbitz.com.au/shop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=259
  18. Just to mention .. the sponges with the plastic (non marring) scrub surface will not work. You need to buy a 3M refinishing pad or use a true pot scrubbing abrasive kitchen pad. http://www.scotch-brite.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Scotch-BriteBrand/Scotch-Brite/Products/Product-Catalog/~/Heavy-Duty-Scour-Pad?N=4337+3294631680&rt=rud
  19. The chemical in the Cape Cod dissolves oxidation and oil. You can get this chemical on the brushed areas without any problems arising. Since the cloth itself is a mild abrasive (it's a polishing cloth) do not rub brushed areas vigorously or you will polish away the brushed finish, eventually.
  20. Right out of the gate, the dealer is lying to you.. claims of a Swiss ETA 7750 movement and sapphire crystal for 88 GBP ?? A Swiss 7750 movement, alone is 500 US dollars. Lies are a great indicator of who not to buy from.
