MD2020 in Illinois has an already established Gen watch repair business and I've used his services on a couple of my favorite pieces so far. I've also used Katt and Vaccum in the past.

Send it off to Vaccum in Florida. 7750 is his bread and butter ... Also perfect lume and AR. Use Cape Cod polishing/cleaning cloth very lightly on brushed metal. It will polish away the brushed texture.

The real question is not "are high quality reps waterproof" The question is "did the guy who assembled my watch in China remember to install all of the rubber seals" That is why no one can give you a straight answer. The real answer here is You can not know if the actual watch you receive is waterproof until you test it.
