The "white paint mod" is a famous mod for the DSSD ... it's no longer considered proper or legitimate. When you say Paint Mod, thats what I think you mean, since it's the most accepted definition for years now.

paint mod is normally a mistake. the genuine numerals are platinum, which is platinum colored. if you rub white paint all over it, you're screwing up your watch.

WBK works out of the continental united states. He only deals in Asian 21j watches, unless he's changed his business model in the last 3 or 4 months.

PBdad's work is variable. Unless they have been deleted, there are examples of his work here that look like art projects. The one reason I had been hesitant to recommend BK's fine watches in the past was his collaboration with PBdad. I am not saying that PBdad has never done good work. I'm saying his work is variable.

Vaccum in Florida does very good work. I'd judge him to be the best right now. His turnaround times are near three months due to the workload. The Zigmeister was a true watchmaker, tho, and can actually make watch parts on site so to be clear, there is no one who rivals him who currently works with the community.

Cape Cod polishing cloth has a tarnish removing chemical embedded. It dissolved the glue accidentally.

Yes, I was going to add this as well. generic "super glue" does not have good shear strength and can also fracture. Sorry you used super glue on a watch :/

I accidentally dissolved the glue in my insert with polishing chemicals. It happens all the time. Just use appropriate glue (never super glue!!)
