  1. My friend, I am sorry but here is the FOURTH photo of a Gen DSSD I present to you showing no crown etching ... Look down the page toward the middle
  2. This is an incredible co-incidence but one of my "favorite sellers" on the Bay has one of this style/vintage right NOW on the block vintage watch dealer in CA vintage Omega
  3. Ah! Thank you, I see it now. Honestly, that is the first picture I have ever seen of DSSD either Gen or Rep with a crown on it ... So I don't know if it's correct or not!
  4. Could it be a forum newb not realizing that the posts she was replying to were a year old? Maybe?
  5. The three photos of the DSSD you see here are Gen ... and I dont see any crystal engraving .. maybe a bad angle.
  6. Where did you order the DSSD from? Greenish lume is probably a V3 ... and Im sorry but I cant see the engraving on the crystal. The pics are too small? Maybe you can zoom in please? thanks
  7. When you opened your DSSD was the HEV already sealed from the factory? The Zigmeister said mine was already done when he looked.
  8. Ambitious project! Good luck and thanks for sharing.
  9. I have never seen a gen DSSD with a crown or the name Rolex on the crystal. Can you post a picture? Gen: Gen: Gen:
  10. Look at his list of Projects ... on his web site ... the DSSD is down the list. And if every watch takes a YEAR to develop and ship .. then I would not hold my breath, my friend. WM9 Project log His perfection takes time, and I would not be surprised if it was 18 months from today to ship the DSSD.
  11. The Gen DSSD watch is so new that there are NO genuine aftermarket parts for it. Dealers are not even allowed to service them .. they have to be sent to Switzerland for fixing. No dial, no bezel .. no nothing.
  12. ooo 3-finger bridge! I have a vintage Elgin pocket watch like that.
  13. Care to share pics of these home made wonders?
  14. I feel bad for saying this, but he did ask for brutal honesty .. I feel this is akin to a "Canal Street" quality replica, and is probably sold for $25 at stalls in Gz. It does have a nice dial, tho, as TJ says .. and you did get a box!!
  15. Yes, what TJ said, plus the bracelet is from another Rolex .. the polished mid links are wrong, it should be all brushed with polished sides. The DSSD only premiered in 2008, so there is no "Older Model" that this could be representing. The HE valve is too small, and it's bead-blasted instead of polished .. the clasp looks like it's a glide lock but it's just cosmetic. This is basically a fantasy watch .. parts from other models with a rehaut and dial from DSSD .. It's not ugly .. but it's nowhere close to a DSSD. Enjoy it! There's nothing stopping it from telling the time for you!
  16. OH I must have you confused with someone else. I thought you said that Franken watches were silly and you would never do that. Must be 2 different people I am thinking of! There are lots of threads like these.
  17. Here is Eurotimez's very important pictorial which dropped like a BOMB on the Replica world in 2008. Expose on clone movements You should add this to your signature, Chris, so you can point newbs to it.
  18. Hi Chris, Thank you for sending out the new ETA movement to replace the one in my DSSDv5. I have received the watch back from Ziggy and he's included the faulty original movement in the package. I will send this out to you, as you requested in our original conversation. Neo has provided me with the address. Also, the Senator Sixties you special-ordered for me is beautiful; thank you for your efforts.
  19. We already suggested he try a POrikaa and he didn't seem to like it much.
  20. The photos I've seen of the older DSSD reps show an incorrect clasp too. Star69 posted the pic in another thread here.
  21. Star69 .. maybe you misunderstand? It seem you think I say the V5 is the best rep out of the box? Look again .. I said the V5 is the best DSSD rep out of the box, and it is. I understand that the Breitling rep is very perfect. So you won't make me mad about watches LOL! In the above photos, it appears to be an older DSSD replica. The DSSDv5 clasp and date window are much better. I dont see what the Gen forum WIS is trying to say about the hand stack tho?? I dont see the difference.
  22. Unfortunately, I looked around and I can't find ANY photos of a gen DeepSea tilted far enough to make any distortion on a gen or a rep .. so I cant debate this. The photographer never tilts the gens over enough, to the point where my rep starts to distort.
  23. No, it's the "Ultimate" version. Not the V5. You can tell by the incorrectly-shaped case back.
