  1. Ken (Bergies) here on the Forum sells the kinds of things you are looking for, and has an excellent reputation.
  2. Hi Lone Wolf and welcome!! When people say a particular model is "not accurate" they mean the shape/color/printing/engraving of the watch, not the way it keeps time. The accuracy of the time keeping varies depending on how good the movement you pay for is .. and if you have a watchsmith service and tune it for you. Even inexpensive movements can keep +/- 5 seconds a day, as reported by many members here once it's serviced and regulated.
  3. Ok ... just so there are no misunderstandings .. even real "super lume" does not stay strongly on fire all night. It glows, yes .. and at first it glows so strongly that I can read a book page in the dark by the light of my DSSDv5 which has been re-lumed. But after a while even real super lume fades to a dim glow. Does it last all night from a 5 minute charge? YES! You can easily read the dial after a whole night if you wake up before sunrise and look at your watch. Does even real super lume stay glowing like Chernobyl for hours? No, it doesn't. I hope you understand more about real super lume now ~ at first it has a powerful strong glow and then fades to a mellow glow that lasts all night.
  4. Thanks to Josh and I cant wait to win these erm I mean BUY TICKETS!
  5. 95% certain it's an electro-static process, like powder coating.
  6. Yes, Google has a facility called "Google Groups" which tracks all posts to all Internet newsgroups and I think my earliest searchable post on that archive is may 1994 in the "Babylon 5" group LOL!! And I bet if we saw WatchWoot's "office" it would be a guy in a car with a Blackberry, txt'ing while driving

    Big 3k

    Congrats to you
  8. Absolutely not nagging anyone, especially you, Lani .. I simply noticed that the thread was 2 weeks cold and epic threads needs some bump lovin from time to time.
  9. Thank you so much for helping me decide if I should buy this lovely piece ... BTW am I going stupid or are the reversing wheels of that "low beat asian" sporting way too many holes, like a real ETA?
  10. Is that because it is glowing so hard, that it discolors the "whiteness?" This happens to me now that Zig re-lumed my DSSD .. the lume is never white in direct Sun anymore, since it's glowing SO HARD you can see the glow in full Sun at noontime.
  11. 100% agree. Remember what this hobby is! It's very complicated and variously legal.
  12. That wasn't my intention I have 4 reps now, and literally have never received a *new* rep in less than 1 month LOLOL!! (the used POrikaa I purchased from a forum member arrived in a week but that's different) Just sharing my actual experience .. not pessimism.
  13. I actually meant the forum approved dealers, not the factories .. and at 3.5/avg posts a day, I only DREAM of matching Lani; It's just that I've been on Internet forums since like 1993 and posting comes naturally to me as does trying to answer questions with what limited knowledge I posses at that moment. I picture Mrs King and WBKtime and offshore as mom n pop type or owner/operator operations .. And regarding Chris as being in Singapore ... I have no idea but isn't his QC, repair and staging in China? That's the impression I get whenever he sends out his notes about QC issues to customers. I guess I could be wrong. EDIT: I was just reading another thread in which ETz Chris plainly says his "Team" is in China. So there you go. BTW is today my 5 month anniversary? I had no idea
  14. She was dancin' the BUMP, BUMP, BUMPITY-BUMP .. and my heart started bumpin' tooooooo ...
  15. As offshore points out, those are tools best suited for scratching your case and making you swear. They are the right kind of tools but not the right quality .. there are merchants here in this Community forum who sell proper tools for not too much money. Just take a look at the merchants area.
  16. You must have just woken up to post this As mentioned, WM9 has corrected the crown in current batches And to answer the OP's question .. I agree regarding "price" ... it is the price of an artists' work, tho.
  17. Best replica dress watch value in existence LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ... I GIVE YOU ---- THE GLASHUTTE SENATOR SIXTIES @ about $100 USD!!!!
  18. Hi Moggy ~ I see you're new to this Hobby, so let me tell you that it'll be a month before you see this watch ... just so you know. Many people freak out because they are used to "express mail" and next day delivery ... well this is China and things take a long time. It's part of the whole experience so just relax and try not to flip out while you wait!
  19. Normal transaction time for Eurotimez, with no drop-shipping is about a month. I see that you're new to the hobby, so understand that mostly what you're dealing with is single-owner/operator and mom n pop businesses in back offices .. in China. Don't expect a Western mentality when you do business .. you're dealing with a Culture that's apart and different. Just know that the dealers here have been around a long time and are trustworthy. Yes it takes a long time but it gets there.
  20. Yes I had the same exact experience in July when I first got mine. I charged the watch under a desk lamp before bed, and then 6 hours later I woke up before dawn and could still read it clearly in the dark. Very good out of the box lume. I still had it Luminova'd by Zig, tho As an aside, the hands on my POrikaa are fabulously lumed TOO ... strong and green and bright ... but the dial marker lume is barely worth mentioning
  21. That's right, the valve should pop OUT when it activates .. being able to press it in is totally wrong .. but apparently it can still be blocked with epoxy and be mobile.
  22. JMB - My HE valve depresses as well but Zig told me it was epoxied when I sent it to him to service and re-lume. Your mileage may vary tho .. don't trust me on this one.
