  1. This guide is seven years old, and nothing survives that long on the internet
  2. Maybe I am misunderstanding something, but a high beat 2813 is a 4813. There is no high beat 2813 .. it's a 4813.
  3. Silix sells these in his "economy watches" section. They are always powered by chinese 21j movements, and are aprox $90 each. These mid-size pieces will accept genuine dials. These gen dials make all the difference.
  4. Look in my signature for the link. It is a thoroughbred piece sourced and assembled by Highoeyazmuhdee and then serviced, lumed, brushed, polished, and re-finished by the Zigmeister.
  5. It sounds like your reversing gears in the autowind bridge are gummed up and need to be cleaned and oiled. Hopefully not replaced. Just to make sure you know .. the genuine and the replica 775x series movement in your watch only auto-winds in one direction. Not both, like an ETA clone. Make sure your auto winder is turning in one direction, not both, and that its turning in the right direction. Oh and very important .. manually winding the gen and the rep 775x movements will break them. almost 100% assured.
  6. Chronograph movements are complex things. They cost money to maintain, like most complex things. Every newbie wants a fancy chrono watch but it's the worst thing you can do for a first purchase.
  7. A good way to tell if the back of your watch is waterproof is to sleep with the watch on, with your hand under the blankets with your body. The moist air will easily enter the watch through any weakness. The next day, place the watch inside your refrigerator for a short time .. 30 minutes? .. and if water vapor is inside the watch, the crystal will have fogged slightly.
  8. I dont care what you guys say; I am going to buy one and make a lovely stir-fry in those beautiful WOKS
  9. That's no problem at all. I always take into account that someone will be reading this years from now, looking for help and I am not necessarily talking to you, but to everyone in the forum.
  10. I'd like to chime in here that you should **never** hand-wind a 775x movement unless it is while saying a prayer. The Gen and the replica will both strip out their winding gears when you do this. Don't do it.
  11. It's a dark blue AR. I have plans for this piece; I picked up a gen Minerva movement, and intend to have it installed. It's a cheap rep, so it probably needs hands and a dial, too. At least it has a nice titanium case.
  12. Thanks! Hey, I noticed last night that the Bronzo on PamGuide is the old "Brasso cheapo" replica instead of the newer super rep releases. Just a heads-up for you.
  13. I took this photo tonight, and it seemed too nice to not use. I'm going to wear the 390 today
  14. Cartel Panerai 127 "1950" on a rep waterproof leather strap Noobfactory Panerai 390 on a Donerix Cayman Flank leather strap Unknown factory Panerai 309 Minerva on a Donerix Tobacco Crocodile strap Z Factory Panerai 382 Submersible 1950 Bronzo on a limited edition Gunny "Caitlin-style" leather strap
  15. Cost would be a consideration. You could buy 2 or 3 factory reps for the price of some eye popping custom pieces.
  16. Would you consider very special high end modder pieces? And what about vintage modder pieces? There some awesome people out there doing incredible work for panerai reps.
  17. Not for a real, working (mechanical, not Quartz) chronograph movement ...
  18. Watch Eden and Silix are two sites that offer the complete range of replicas, from $90 watches to 1000$ watches.
