  1. Thank you for the great mini-review! There are not enough write ups for $100 watches.
  2. I have experience with the Ballon Bleu and the Pasha Seatimer no-chrono. Both are very good reps. You are showing a special very expensive Ballon Bleu there. They do not have to cost this much if you choose a different model. Also ... Puretime?? They have been receiving bad reviews for 1 year now.
  3. Huge HeV on it ... description is wrong ...
  4. Reps have some to none as far as quality control. This is one of the cardinal rules of this hobby. You have the correct idea. Do not trust factory QC. Ever.
  5. The rep needs better hands and a re-lume as well. I love the idea of having a rep with balance micro weights.
  6. The watch was not waterproof because a gasket was missing, not because the design is bad. Did you read the post?
  7. Here you can see that the winding gear and the barrel gear are "dished out" concave fashion and black polished ... the movement is striped, not waved, and the base plate is pearlage ... wow wow wow. Also the huge seller's fingerprint on the black polished winding gear. ugh.
  8. It's only a cellphone photo, so most of the decoration is washed out, but it's there and I'm very happy. It runs like ... um ... clockwork but is covered in the eBay seller's fingerprints. Blech.
  9. I will take your advice. I don't want to mess up the sueded finish.
  10. I received a package from the UK today. It's Minerva and its what comes in a gen 309. This is the other half of the puzzle. A titanium rep 309. 1+1 = awesome
  11. We throw this term around so much but no one has mentioned it yet? The home of the replica! CANAL STREET
  12. Can I have some history on this model you've frankened? Was it originally a very limited edition, and if so, where are people finding their spare dials?
  13. YES I forgot to mention that the very large buckle that came with the rep 390 was the wrong size for this strap. It was a couple mm too wide. I swapped on another buckle and am good to go.
  14. Maybe now those of us with classic SOSF which have worn out tubes can get spares? Maybe?
  15. Hm .. most of my watches are on bracelets. The VC Overseas is stunning, and very thin. Look here ---->>>
  16. This is a full-on pearlage 7750. Not the base movement price you are coming up with. I never said this piece was worth almost 1000$. I said I read the description and realized why it was multiples of the normal price for this rep watch.
  17. Dressy everyday or sporty everyday? you wear suits to work or casual ...
  18. Yes, it's only 3 hours later and I feel the bolsters loosening up already. thanks for the advice.
  19. The replica panerai Assolutamente strap is $40 usd. It is the strap the gen 390 comes on, from panerai. I do not know why our dealers sell the great 390 rep on that big polished leather strap instead. I bought this one at Kuvarsit. I read here on the forum that our dealers did not sell them or were out of stock.
  20. The watch the OP is asking about has a real Swiss 7750 in it. Not an Asia clone 7750. That is an expensive piece of machinery.
  21. I have no idea. Sorry.
  22. One has a special price for Forum members only. It's the same watch. Notice one is in the RWI Special Promotions area and the other is in the normal store. The "sale" used to be a lot more discounted but it's been 2 years since that sale started. For instance, the N-Factory Submariner used to be only $45 USD where most dealers sell it for $120. You missed the boat on those sale prices tho.
  23. Ok thanks. I guess I'll just wear it 24/7 except in the shower until the padded "bolsters" inside the leather soften up.
