  1. If you want to get something inexpensive while you search for the Gen, WACCEX (Bob Straps) in Germany makes an Assolutamente clone in all Panerai sizes. It's called the "Vertigo" strap .. $34 USD Be sure to know what size you want to buy. This link might not be to the size you need. http://www.waccex.de/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=325_372&products_id=1046
  2. Ok so I did some research and the dial is a normal sandwich dial, no filled numerals. You can see the shadows cast by the depth of the dial. I suppose an unbranded Ti tang buckle is OK ... now to really nail down a source of 26mm gator straps which look like that dark honey OEM ..
  3. OK then, here is a direct link to the A21j GMT IIc on TimesShop's web store. http://www.timesshop.net/6429-rwi-promotionro1174-rolex-gmt-master-2-ceramic-bezel-black-dial-ss-ss-asian-21j-automatic.html
  4. Perfect! A known-good watch from a long-time member.
  5. Finding an unbranded brushed Ti pre-v buckle is easy .. I just hoped for a branded piece The photos I posted of are the Gen, on gen croco .. It's what I hope to imitate. This watch was purchased from another Forum member, which is why I called it "inexpensive" .. Here's Polo's page for this watch - http://prowatch-polo...hp?cid=&id=1297
  6. The Assolutamente (Absolutely!) ... I wonder why a boutique would not sell you a strap.
  7. Or maybe a chocolate colored gator ... ohhh. Not sure now :clap2:
  8. Hiya folks. Where can I source a branded Ti pre-v brushed screw-in buckle? This rep has polished SS. Next .. some Gen pics make the dial look resin filled. Is it? I want to re-do the lume anyway. The rep is very green in daylight. Next .. more accurate hands? The lume strip does not touch the central hub on the rep. Lastly, what's is a good source for a light honey gator OEM style strap? like this:
  9. I wish I was qualified to make broad and god-like statements like "Every Chinese HeV will never leak." But I am not.
  10. I do not believe it must fail. I believe it is a useless weak point.
  11. I dont see why you would want a real Chinese-made HeV in a replica. It's just another piece to fail. As long as the simulated HeV is convincing, then I think it's a good option.
  12. correct hand stack has not been available in years. And it was an inferior design.
  13. I have never personally seen this new improved gmt module. The Zigmeister posted a commentary on it within the last two weeks here on RWG. He received it for a service. If it becomes standard, it's great news.
  14. The only high quality GMT IIc currently available is from the N-Factory, which would explain why they all look the same to you; yes? The tells would be that the replica has no AR coating under it's magnifying cyclops lens. Also, the numbers on the genuine ceramic bezel insert are pure platinum and on the replica are pure paint. There is an interesting school of thought on the movements available in this watch, which is exactly opposite other watches and that is this ... the asian 21j movement is the wise choice, since it is a purpose-built GMT movement. If you buy the GMT IIc with a Swiss ETA movement inside, it is a non-GMT movement with some extra gears and clutches screwed to it. Not optimal. note: there is talk of a new breed of GMT module for the reps .. it's only been reported on ONCE and it is a huge improvement over the existing GMT modules, making it safe and wise to purchase the Swiss ETA GMT IIc **if** this new module is inside of it. Who can guarantee it's in there? No one.
  15. The "L" in Hublot on the movement's rotor is cocked at a 20 degree angle. Not good.
  16. Donerix is http://hamiltonleath...ps.blogspot.com .. he's also a member here and other watch forums as well.
  17. Wow how simple is this concept .. a single powered central hub where each watch mounting arm simple rolls like a automobile tire on the base. SIMPLICITY ITSELF - http://www.origintimes.com/content.php?lang=en&mid=1&pid=10&modus=images#
  18. I know at one point KB assured the Forum that he would only sell UV400 protected replica sunglasses. You could shoot him a PM. If you buy elsewhere please have them tested at an optometrist's office for UV protection. There is nothing fun about sunburned retinas.
  19. You can not tell the color of things from internet photos. That new SuperOcean Steelfish v2 dial could be right .. who knows.
  20. nice work. good dealer. WatchBitz sells boxes of assorted watch screws, for future reference.
  21. Watch International = Mary. She is a one-person shop who goes to the watch bazaar herself, and hand-picks pieces for her customers. She's been around for years and does very well by her clients.
