That is a v3 N-Factory DSSD, from the year 2008. It even says so at the bottom of the web page.
You are comparing it to the newest N-Factory release, December 2011.
Does Josh have stock of this four year old model? You would not want it, even if he did.
He is probably referring to the different movements available as different "versions."
There are two factories making high quality DSSD reps, as I already mentioned. One is the N Factory and one has no name, so it's called the TrevorTime DSSD.
I'm at work so Im not going to look at your links until later.
Yes, it's a beautiful piece and the photos are excellent. I bought a Sony NEX a few days ago, and am thinking about which watch will get the first place in line for a photo shoot.
So I could not stand looking at it anymore. No AR? Terrible lume? I sent it to Vac for the full treatment.
This is not a cheap watch, and the factory is not doing right by us on this piece.
It must be less than a year ago that people were discussing at length why no one bothered to post in the wrist check topics anymore, and now 40 people per day are posting .. very good.
Gran, I'm afraid that the photos you posted clearly show that the OP's movement is not the same.
In the classic china clone ETA, the lack of 3 novodiac spring release notches and the lack of eight holes in each reversing wheel are the most obvious tells.
Your photo of the (gen) gold movement shows 3 novodiac notches in the spring retainer and 8 reversing wheel holes.
The very cloudy photo provided by the OP looks bad ... but a clearer photo would really help.
I wonder if using the Wikipedia format of publically editable listings would work well in this case. That way there is not only one maintainer, and people can add info as they feel the urge to contribute. Of course, in this format there is always someone needed to guard against false or malicious info being added.
Hi. This looks like Asian ETA clone to me. The blurry balance jewel makes it hard to tell but the shock spring looks too fat and the reversing wheels do not appear to have enough holes in them.
I need a clear photo of the balance jewel without so much glare.
Adeodatus is correct in his pointing out the wheel and the shock assembly. They look like typical China clone parts. Nothing like ETA parts.
I just checked, and I was confused. Trusty's newsletter announces the new SeaDweller and Explorer 2 in a21j for 120 USD and in the same paragraph he mentions the new Steelfish.
My error.
Vacuum is also a trusted modder on the RWI forum and he publicly announced the pressure test service there a few weeks ago. He quoted me a price for it as well. So he definitely supplies this service.
Also ... It is Saturday. maybe that is why he isnt working (answering your mail)?
