  1. Stunning pic, J. But coming from you, I expect no less
  2. Thanks, Lani... Sometime, I'd like for you to see them in person
  3. You are correct- The dial should omit 'DATE' from the text since it's replicating a no-date 5513/5517 based piece. You can always buy a more correct dial and have it installed, however having a T/MoD 5517 dial is going to be a difficult piece to pull off. If you do decide to stick with the 5517 look, you might also want to consider getting the bezel insert with the full 60 ticks and a better set of hands
  4. EE6263, essentially untouched aside from a gen T21... Found whilst cleaning stuff out today...
  5. U serial... I can probably look for one. I've seen a few U serial correct dials in the past 6 months...
  6. mellus, The Daytonas are an old set that I built a few years ago. Fun pieces, but I rarely ever wear them these days. Gen 31j El Primero 400/3019's, gen dials, hands, etc. Most members here are probably tired of seeing and hearing about this pair
  7. Yeah... Most I had seen was for around $7k, but there have been some ridiculously high examples selling at the big auction houses... Antiquorum: Lot # 130 1st Generation Omega 600M Inverse sold for 24780 CHF Lot #131 1st Generation Omega 600M sold for 35,400 CHF Lot #132 2nd Generation Omega 600M sold for 17,700 CHF Found these while looking around on other sites, etc. Crazy stuff...
  8. As I was cleaning out some of my parts bins today, I came across this old thing Instantly brought back memories of when I built Daytona #2. So, I thought it would be interesting to show you guys the humble origins of my black dialed cosmo... And new with old... I tend to hang onto the old donor cases these days... One of those sentimental things to do I suppose... Thanks for looking. R
  9. Thanks, HD! As I branch out from things not Rolex, I'm finding lots of interesting things out there that I never really paid attention to before. Might just have to find me a 42.5mm; the 45mm would be neat to have, but way too big for me, I think...
  10. Also... There are a couple of different variations of the dial, as with most Rolex production dials. e.g. round 'S' and flat 'S' Submariner dials as but one example to cite.
  11. Hands and lume look too good. The only thing that would have me doubt is the date font. Otherwise, this looks gen to me.
  12. NICELY done, E! Looks great!
  13. As an aside... Did they ever do a uPO for the 42.5mm? Or is 4th generation as good as it gets? Sorry if it's a silly or dumb question... I haven't followed the PO reps much for the past few years... Cheers, Noobie ubi. Or maybe n-ubi works as well
  14. You know you've spent way too much time on this forum when you can pull up little emoticons by memory...
  15. Ooh... I just might have to put that one down on my list of priorities! Thanks for the link! Those definitely look interesting!
  16. Personally, I've become more and more attracted to them over time... Felt they were rather meh when I first saw them, but I've come to really appreciate them and their technical merits I somehow doubt we'd ever see a rep, and at $18k for a vintage, I highly doubt I'd ever buy one (there are other things I'd buy first at that price), but it's still fun to look at
  17. How about when you get excited over the idea of seeing snowflakes in the middle of Summer, Vly?
