  1. Ehhh... The new 3126/3840 is still the same DD module on top of the inhouse 3120.
  2. Interesting case- Especially the backside, where the seating area for the caseback is inset a bit deeper than the rest of the case (both Chris' and Stephane's). My MBK case does not have that... However, gen does...
  3. Definitely heat that case up! You want to get any thread locker or adhesive nice and hot prior to removing any tube. I hate doing tubes... That and drilling lugs. So much so that I prefer to have ZZ do them instead. He does a much better job at it anyways...
  4. LR- When you're ready for one, hit me up. I'll do everything I can to help you get the parts you need to build!
  5. Wut... These old things? Why on earth would you want them?
  6. Heh... Looking through your review, I saw your reference to my El Primero projects Interesting to look back only to realize that the post for my first cosmo franken was only two years ago... Seems like I've had this pair in my possession for much longer than that!
  7. The Nauti Jumbo measures in at 42mm, but certainly doesn't wear that large. The case is relatively thin, which tends to make the watch feel a bit smaller than it's measured size may indicate. Also, that 42mm across is taking into account the hinge wings; due to the design of the case and how those hinges integrate, the watch looks more like a 40mm watch.
  8. Well, it's definitely a really bad pic So.... Regardless of the watch, what makes you suspect that something is fishy? Something he said? Or is there a story behind the watch that makes you feel as though something is up? What's the story behind this one? Have you seen this watch in person, or only in pics? Difficult to tell from the pic, but do those A's look like they have the low cross bar?
  9. Great review, and so very entertaining to read! Love the humor and pics... Especially with Travolta's confusion on the slide rule Good stuff!! I myself am waiting for the Blacksteel V2... Not typically a Breit kind of guy, but that one looks too good to pass up...
  10. Hmmmmm.... That very well could be The coronets and the shield haven't had much attention as of late; I must admit that the base is a nice change from the status quo! The PAM in it's current state is only a temporary solution. The case will be changed to a Jimmy case once some issues are ironed out. The PVD shell will be converted to something else at that point. So, this one will be going from a 009 to 002. The real charm of the watch (for me) is the FGD Pre-A dial. I've always wanted a nice Pre-V or Pre-A PAM; the lack of accurate dials out there kept me from ever indulging. Now that the dial exists, I can build the Panerai of my desire...
  11. Hmmmm... Dial lume looks decent... Subdial hands have the gold tubes... If the V2 doesn't come with these items fixed, you can combine the two to make an ultimate Blacksteel
  12. You can go with an online service as well. I'm sure sites like winkflash, shutterfly, etc offer printing of calendars and the sort...
  13. Hmmmm... That's a big investment for a relatively unreliable movement...
  14. I don't think I've ever run the stopwatch on these two...
  15. Hmmm... Movement looks like a 2483? That's just a guess....
  16. Sweet! Looking forward to seeing this one done!
  17. Well, in the case of a 1675, you want the GMT hand at the bottom of the stack; that's how gen 1675s (with the caliber 1575) are configured.
