  1. For Monday... Some shots off the granite...
  2. Great looking LV, TTK! itreeman... You got a good one
  3. Disjointed... That's a very accurate description for the entire film. I only recently saw it... And was pretty disappointed as 11 was quite entertaining.
  4. Looks fantastic! Very nice! I especially like the 116519 style bezel! Well done!
  5. Well... The 4130 is slightly thinner than a 4030, so stem position may be off by +/- 1mm (which makes a difference). Using a standard 7750 will also most likely not line up... And the subdial spacing would be off as well...
  6. Let's hope 13 is better than 12...
  7. Good basis for a project... But very frustrating all the same, as getting everything to line up correctly can be a nightmare... Hopefully you have better luck, Tribal!
  8. I source mine from a different source. 2 of the 3 sources I regularly use for Rol parts could get them at one time, but now it's down to just 1 of the 3...
  9. I recently picked up a sec@6:00 mod 7750 Daytona for a friend, and had an opportunity to compare it to my Daytona frankenstein. It's been a while since I've had one of these in my hands... And while I remember them being bulky, it was quite interesting to see just how big this watch is in comparison to a genuine case. First impressions out of the wrapper- The weight! This thing is heavier than my friend's genuine 16622 Rolesium (to which he commented immediately; not that the 16622 has a lot of platinum content, but it's still pretty hefty in it's own right). The next I noticed was the size (of course) as well as the quality and finish of the watch in general. On it's own merit, it's really quite nice, and the clasp and dial were some of the better examples I had seen on a 116520 Daytona rep (the older ones I had from a few years back were not as nicely finished or precise as these- The factories have definitely made an improvement here). The mod 7750 was running quite smoothly, all subsidiaries and center seconds resetting nicely and I had the watch pressure tested to 100m, so not bad out of the box. Anyways... On to the pics... And a few comparisons- I'll let the pics do the talking here... Gen case 16520 rehaut: Mod 7750 116520 rehaut: 16520 profile: 116520 profile: Side by side: Can't comment on longevity with this one, as my friend has only had it for a week... All in all... It's a nice watch... Very substantial, solid feel and with a large presence on the wrist. Unfortunately, 116520 is a bit thinner than the 16520 (speaking in terms of genuine), so it's size may be the first thing to give it away as a replica from a distance (of course, from someone who knows Daytonas)... Flaws aside, it's really quite solid and generally speaking, a very handsome watch
  10. If you're using a genuine case and dial for a 116520, a mod 7750 unfortunately won't work as it's 2x - 3x taller than the Rolex cal. 4130, and a 7753 won't have the right subdial spacing either (the 116520's 9:00/6:00 subdials sit slightly above center axis, not to mention, the stem is likely not to line up). The only suitable movement for the case is a genuine 4130, which I may (heavy emphasis on may ) be able to source, but it will most likely run $5k - $6k US- Almost the cost of buying a TT 116523 on the secondary market. This is due to Rolex's control on the secondary parts market with regards to servicing and parts replacement (e.g. finding this movement complete anywhere other than from Rolex direct is near impossible). It might be more worth your while buying a genuine TT and simply wearing as-is (or if you're set on all SS, converting to 116520 spec). Hands can be sourced for $150 to $200... Best regards, R
  11. Well.... It is a rep forum, isn't it??
  12. In that case.. Gen for today..
  13. Hey gang... Yes indeed, we have a lucky winner! GhostfaceZX, I will be contacting you for your shipping info shortly To all who participated- Thank you for helping to make this a fun mini-event! Wish I had a watch to give to each of you... Perhaps I will be offering more freebs in the next few weeks in the same manner (please keep an eye out for these)... Some may be watches... Some may be cases or parts... Some may be accessories (I need to see what all I have). And, perhaps this can help inspire some other generous gestures from other members as well. While it's great to receive something, it's also great to give something as well. Have a great weekend everyone... All the best... R
  14. I know of some decent Japanese made Daytonas with El Primeros inside...
  15. I am not sure what level of comfort you have in tinkering around with the internals of the watch, but I would take this opportunity to install a genuine 16570 dial (which will correct all the flaws and improve the watch as it is a genuine part), at which time you can also remove any debris/particles on the inner surface of the crystal. You may have to use a different date overlay to align/position the date properly... Kind of depends on which version watch you have as this detail can vary between manufacturers/factories/locations, etc. Aligning the cyclops shouldn't be too terribly difficult to do- All you need to do is heat up the crystal to melt the glue holding the cyclops on (some tutorials on how to do this are on the forum) and then realign with crystal cement, which will dry completely clear/invisible. The end result? A nice modded watch with some genuine parts... Taking a bad situation and making it better I myself usually end up using only the case or dial from a rep watch in my projects anyways. The flaws are somewhat to be expected... But that doesn't mean they have to stay that way Good luck and all the best... Randy
  16. Great pics, Stephane!! And some excellent choices in watches!! I have a feeling you'll be enjoying those for a very long while... And, yes.. TTK delivers an excellent product! Good stuff for sure... Cheers! R
  17. Sounds like it's time for a trip to the Spa...
  18. Today, I'm feeling blue too...
  19. Yes... You read that right. Today, I have a freebie for you guys (but just one)... Here we have a 40mm 6265 Daytona powered by the Asian Venus handwind movement. The watch runs, winds and seems to keep good time (though I have not monitored it for very long). It's good for parts (the Venus is a workhorse), or if you are not bothered by inaccuracy details and flaws, simply install a 20mm strap or Oyster bracelet and simply wear it as is I rec'd this watch in a box of parts some time ago; I never did anything (or thought of it for that matter) with it since I first saw it until the other day while doing some Spring cleaning. Having a near accurate DW 6263, this watch just doesn't do anything for me... But maybe it will be useful to someone here. Now... Here is how I will pick the recipient... Interested individuals should PM me. The last one to PM and make my in-box hit 100% will receive the watch. I may have 5% of my storage used up (95% free), or I may have 98% of my storage consumed (2% free). I won't say either way But the last entry to hit 100% will be the lucky recipient... I'll follow up around this afternoon to check status. ONLY ONE PM PER INDIVIDUAL, PLEASE. If I see multiple PMs from someone, I will take you out of consideration. Again... The watch is completely, 100% free, no strings attached. Heck... I will even pay shipping... All the best! R
  20. Damn!! That is HOT! Quite possibly the most accurate, complete 2893 PAM29 rep in existance!!
  21. I trust all my movements to you for a reason...
  22. As avitt mentioned... V72. Crown is nice and inline with the pushers...
