  1. The old TW Best is also a decent one to start with. It still has some flaws, but with some mods this one can really turn out quite nicely.
  2. Vitello Rugattos are, I believe 5mm thick...
  3. There are a couple of individuals who carry a very high quality variation of the 47mm 3646 hommage- WM and I believe river may be able to source these still (though I am not 100% sure). In addition- a number of dealers carry a low cost variation of this watch- Link. There is a pretty substantial difference in cost as well as overall quality, but for the price, these low cost alternatives are pretty decent.
  4. They ship from Malaysia. And, yes... Sometimes the tracking is not updated on the websites as quickly as we'd like. But fret not... It's on it's way!
  5. The differences are easier to spot if you've held a genuine; especially easy if you've had the opportunity to hold a genuine next to a rep! Pics can be deceiving at times, as photo quality, lighting, angles etc. all play a crucial role in perception. However, if you look at this stuff long enough, you'll develop an eye for it, and it will become much easier to spot a typical replica (or a genuine)! Modified reps, however, can be a different story
  6. Tommy, Great to see you, mate. I hope you are doing well. Best regards, Randy
  7. Truly fascinating pieces.... Especially Euno's Spaceview! Very nice! And quite the conversation piece!
  8. Gorgeous!! That rose gold looks sumptuously rich. I must admit- I'm not much of a gold kind of guy, but that one has me drooling a bit
  9. Fantasy piece, for sure. None of the lefty's (PAM22, 26, 56, 115, 117) ever had the blued hands...
  10. Just for fun... A couple of wrist shots of mine with my old 29- My wrist is 6.60-ish, but not very flat. I think the wrist shape has everything to do with how PAMs appear en situ.
  11. Awesome!! I love it, Ken!! That is a very nice 001/001 Limited Edition!!
  12. Sure, you bet. MBW is an acronym for 'Maria Best Watch', while WM is for 'Watchmaster'. Both are very accurate replications of vintage and modern watches, most notably of Rolex. There are many stories and theories behind these watches; lots of interesting reading here and on TRC if you search through the archives. In the meantime, here is a posting I put together which analyzes a pair of the more popular MBW's- The 1680 and 1665. How to identify a vintage MBW Rolex. Cheers, R
  13. I wouldn't be worried yet. Give it a few more days...
  14. Sometimes Mrs. Ubi wears this one... But, I do have an urge to buy her a nice ladies' DJ...
  15. I agree with Maciek's comments on the watch in question, and have a few observations of my own to add. 1) Genuine 16600 SD's have a very distinct He Valve @9:00 2) Genuine 16600's have a crystal that is slightly smaller in diameter than a standard Submariner 16610 (I believe by almost 1mm). As Maciek mentioned prior, the crystal is also thicker in height. For Sea-Dweller reps, the only one I'd recommend is the vintage MBW or WM 1665, as those are the most accurate of *any* Sea-Dwellers available.
  16. One thing that always annoys me with the Rolex non-fliplock clasps is how loose they tend to come from the factory. I've encountered this with both rep and gen, and here is a quick 1 minute fix that works with both. 1) Open the clasp up to reveal the hinged clasp blades as depicted in the image below. 2) Using your thumbs, gently bend blade a. to be flat. This is the blade that touches the inside portion of your wrist. 3) Using your thumbs, gently bend blade b. to be more curved. This is the blade that folds over op top of blade A, and faces the inside of the clasp hull. Adjustment of the flat and curved blades can be made to suit each individual's taste I myself do this with ALL of my Rolex clasps, whether it's fliplock or not. I prefer to have my clasps a little tighter- Just for peace of mind I just helped another forum member with this fix, and thought it might benefit some others as well. Hope this helps! Best, R
  17. The seller does indeed seem questionable. BTW, this is, I think, the one auction he's won that really takes the cake!! ROFL.
  18. I'm about to throw one of my DW's out a window. Damn watch is driving me crazy
  19. I rec'd a new green insert last night for the watch I am going to send to him. Installed it and am monitoring for a bit before sending.
  20. So, which watch will Flo end up getting? The one we were discussing via email? Or is it a surprise...?
  21. Can you tell the difference? One is from a Rolex Service Center in the U.S. The other is from Andy... I sold my pair from the RSC; I'm keeping one from Andy for one of my own projects...
  22. I love the square markers and snowflake hands!!
