  1. If you send me the case I can machine you one as a last resort...
  2. hackr - Finally!!! Looks fantastic!
  3. Yes, but I can get them in 19mm as well...
  4. Nice lookin' Sub you got there, woof!
  5. I'm ordering a few more of these in about a month: It's the same as I put on my grey one:

    Tudor...

No Subs yet but I have a couple... Starting off with my only gen: Followed by my only "pure" rep Tudor: The "Jumbo": Mid-size: Blue PDC: Silver PDC - My first Franken build: My only Date-Day: My "faded" Red Ranger: Vintage Small Rose: Vintage No Rose : And finally my Fantasy Tudor: Dang! I've got more of these than I realized!!! I forgot Mr. Quartz!
  7. In honor of LHOOQ's latest build...
  8. As tiny as those pinions are I would think they are liable to break easily so this part might be relatively easy to source...
  9. I know nothing about the V72 but that little "pin" is probably supposed to be part of a gear...
  10. Knock off the cyclops, swap the dial, drill the lugs, put on a non-SEL band, and turn it into a 14060 facsimile!!!
  11. Also, didn't notice if it was mentioned but use a fairly slow drying glue...
  12. T, we must have some sort of ESP thang goin' on here. I put mine back on SS this past Monday! Even though the clasp bugs the hell out of me it's not like anybody's gonna notice where I work or any of the places I hang out at! The NATO was comfortable but a PITA to take on and off...
  13. It is sooo far outside the box - I LOVE IT!
  14. M, I can sleep easy now that this dial has been protected by a case! It turned out fantastic, but I agree with woof about the bracelet. Do you think our two DJs might be cousins?
  15. I would just as soon somebody whup me with a chunk of rebar than put overlays on, but that's one of the hazards of Rolex Repdom. Another reason I love building Tudors!!
  16. I knew we were in trouble since we actually had somewhat of a "Spring" this year. My garden is pretty much toast - literally!
  17. I'll most likely be wearin' this tomorrow...
  18. I'm gonna order some in about a month. I had a Jubilee on my Coke GMT and it was nice...
  19. It's a "low dome" with cyclops. 4:29 = 16:29
  20. A Clark 25-116 is already on order!
  21. I'm not sure if I like the pointy CGs, don't hate 'em just not sure I really like 'em as they are rather permanent...
  22. TJGladeraider was kind enough to part with one of his GMT Masters and after a dial change and lug drilling I think it's a right smart looking watch! I told him I had gotten rid of all of my GMT watches and this would fill an obvious hole in my collection. The only problem being I either need to make room in the watch box (over the 20 limit) or buy an "secondary" box - I opted for the second option! I may try a Pepsi insert on it but I'm kinda liking the subdued nature of the black insert. Enough jawin', here's some pics...
  23. Stick with cobalt. The carbide are a bit brittle and sometime grab and break as most hobbyists don't have equipment that's rigid or fast enough. They should be turned at least 2500 RPM and closer to 5000 RPM would not be out of line.
  24. Todays "watch" deal at 1saleaday.com is a 10 watch display case with a drawer for misc. stuff. Price is $49.99 + $4.99 S&H. I promised I would stick to the 20 watch limit in my current box but I find I must break my pledge so I ordered one... www.1saleaday.com/watch No connection or financial interest, blah, blah, blah...
