  1. After I got my new strap from Uwe (timeband)... (Sorry, only quick iPhone pics)
  2. Ouch... I hope the new owner doesn't cut himself with that crown...
  3. Still the Blackthemes...
  4. Hey Sixx, nope, haven't got the AP screws yet. But we know that your post office is the slowest in the world, right? LOL :-) All the best, mate! O.
  5. We shouldn't really discuss venues in the open forum, right? As you said, security is a issue... for Berlin!
  6. After I got my Blackthemes back from Domi it's glued to my wrist!
  7. Looks good, congrats! The price is great - I think you'll get a lot of interest! FineDD's AR is good but not as good as Chief's. It's good enough for me though and he doesn't have a waiting list. His prices are a bit higher than yours. I'm curious to see the AR in person, unfortunately I don't have a crystal that needs AR atm... Cheers, O.
  8. Thanks, Pete! I thought so, too... just didn't have a chance to see a gen newer than H Series. So why don't people stop telling this is the best rep 111 dial ever? I don't get it...
  9. Yes, I can recommend Krysworks too!
  10. I voted for Malmoe - Got family there and I just love the city. It's also great for a short trip to Copenhagen across the Oeresund! Unfortunately I won't be able to attend - I'll be on vacation...
  11. I owned a LH 111i and now I own a new Cartel 111J - case, CB and CG are much better on the new cartel 111J while the LH dial is still better imo. The LH movement looks nice with those polished bridges but the CDG engraving is totally off. Personally I wouldn't buy a LH watch anymore but I'd still go for his dials (although they may not be accurate for the J series anymore - we had some discussions about the dial printing colour here, it seems Panerai has changed the colour to a more yellowish one sometime between I and M series but no one seems to know when exactly they did that...).
  12. I had the same problem with my Black Themes - always stopped after 10 minutes and that was approx. 1 year after it had had a complete service! I sent it off to Domi who had to replace 3 gears for the secs@12 mechanism - now it works fine again. Let's see for how long... I really like those APs, but I won't buy another one before they have found a better way for the secs@12.
  13. Haven't worn this one for a couple of weeks, like it a lot again today:
  14. I agree, Pete! I also though the dial text colour is totally off. All the gens I've seen had off-white printing, the rep dial is much too yellow. But then klocklind1 posted a pic of his gen 111M (see post #64) and I began to wonder... My pic in post #63 shows a gen 111J and - despite all colour balance problems - you can clearly see there's a difference in the colour of the inscriptions. So did the text colour change on the gen dials? If so, when? Is the J series already like that or did they change it later? Then a new 111M rep would suddenly make perfect sense to me... they would have to change the serial no. on the caseback only and the rep would be much more accurate because of the inscription colour.
  15. How did you make the DW overlay? Can you make more? There's definitely a market for them, now that Lello is out of business and Taka is not yet ready with his Ingy DWs... I'd be in for one!
  16. OK, I agree, that does look like the text on my 111J! When have they changed the colour? Can anyone confirm the gen J-series is like that, too? The older series had almost white printing, it would be interesting to know when that has changed.
  17. Thanks, but it's not broken - seems to be OK and stays in the hole... oh, does that spring have a name btw.?
  18. Hi there, I have an asian 6497 that won't wind anymore, it just slips through. After closer inspection, I found out that the problem is the little spring I marked in this picture: The end of the spring that is supposed to push that little anchor against the next wheel (sorry, I don't know the correct words...) always moves to the edge so that it no longer holds up against the anchor. You can see the problem here: What can I do? Try to bend it a bit? Thanks, Whatever
  19. Hmm, I'm really beginning to wonder about different versions of the gen as well. I've seen a gen (I think it was a K-series) recently and the dial print was almost white. I have a gen 112 G-series and the dial text is the same colour, almost white, little creamy. Pics of the gens I've seen have the same colour as well, see pic above. I owned a LH 111 once and the text colour was spot on with my gen 112. Now the colour of my 111J is way too yellowish/greenish in comparison... Can you take pics of your gen and the 111J next to it? That would be really interesting!
  20. Hmm, I don't think the dial text colour is spot on... in fact it's quite off. The gen is an off-white/cream colour while my 111J is ivory with a tad of green/yellow in it as well. Lume colour is totally off, too - way too greenish. I start to wonder if there are different batches out there - judging from the pics I've seen differences in text colour and lume colour. I already had my mine relumed. Here's a gen pic of a J-series:
  21. For me it's still vintage day today...
