    Rolexfinder used to replace the original screws with polished SS ones, so I guess they can be removed...You can easily damage them so be careful... That's a nice catch, I've got a black dial one, and love it. I think it is a bit more thick than the gen, and has got a closed caseback but definitely a quality rep...
