  1. I have always typed like that... just natural really.... dunno why. I do it in my txt msgs as well and emails... except for the work ones... don't ask me why... all i can say is i was doing it before i came to this forum... so maybe ttk copied me???
  2. looks like mbw has deeper rehaut... lol... or is that due to superdome effect?
  3. hahaha... ub7... u seem to be a daytona freak!!! hopefully one day we will get a reliable one... i love them too!

  8. Well I just booked a one week holiday to Noumea!!! In the process of booking accomodation, and doing some research on things to do there. Any members here that have travelled there and have tips or recommendations what to do? What about good affordable hotels? Any help is appreciated... Thanks! Will probably need to get an english-french dictionary and do some reading before we fly...
  9. I agree with Lanikai to some extent... a lot of people come to the forum ask a few questions make purchases and leave. Who knows how many spies or whatever kind of people come to view what we post. Maybe if we started using the VIP section more ourselves... put more useful information and tips there...
  10. Blown away as well... looks good! I always liked yachtmasters in the past but did not think there were any good reps...
  11. great tip!!! will keep this in mind...
  12. Done...
  13. No worries sssurfer! I'd just like to add that the datewheel font on this one is terrible... I remember the original post now... man I have terrible memory! I remember you posted about this when I received the watch yersterday, but I thought your original post was only with photos of the movt. Now I see it was the exact same watch! LOL... I even posted a reply in that thread... Need to start taking some brain supplements...
  14. I wouldn't have a clue... can't tell (I am not a movt expert). But based on the price which is pretty cheap I would guess asia 21j? But I am not sure. Maybe I will give it a try opening it up later this evening (if the rubber gloves method works) and have a play around inside!
  15. Photos as promised: Babola: I realise it is just a modified movt and not a real three barrel... was just saying they are trying to replicate the look of the three barrel movt. Don't worry, I would not pay money for a watch like that... I think this one is the rebridged asia 21j. wristshot - this is the first time I have tried on a 47mm on my small wrists...
  16. I should take a wristshot with some sheep in the background one day...
  17. Well, my friend just dropped by my place and showed me a new rep he just purchased. He has a contact he gets watches from himself. Anyway, he told me this guy said that this is the newest Panerai rep so he thought he would just buy it for a bit of fun. It cost him about 80usd, so pretty cheap I thought. My first impression, it looks pretty much like a fiddy (but I am no Pam expert). However, it has a GMT hand (not adjustable), so I think it is a fantasy! The back is a glass display back showing the OP 2002 Three Barrel rep movement. Visually looks close to the genuine (from memory, I don't have a pic of the gen now but recall seeing it here somewhere), however there seems to be one problem. It will not self wind when it is worn on the wrist... it also does not wind when you shake the watch... the only way that you can get it moving is by rotating the watch. Could this be because it does not have a rotor attached? One last thing is the blue letters printed on the movement... some of them seem to have rubbed off... not a good look! I am just about to go to bed so can't be bothered taking pics, but I will post some tomorrow.
  18. I finally located the "spring"/ flat washer on my mbk1680... it was stuck under the bezel as you mentioned! I had actually looked at it on a few occassions but thought that it was just part of the bezel. Tried pulling on it today and it came right off. I tried bending it slightly... but I am not sure how it is supposed to be bent. All I did was position the washer between two fingers and bend it slightly then pop it back on the watch.
  19. what??? no update of the new vanessa hudgens pics???
  20. wow.... now i need to buy a watch that needs ar!!!
  21. so now there is a new holy grail 1665... mbk/mbw kicked off its throne!!!
  22. Wondering if anyone knows much about this movement? Saw it for sale locally here... was wondering if it is worth buying to keep or for a project? Only thing is... I notice there are a lot of reps offered by collectors with Lemania movt.... does this mean it is quite common, hence not worth much? Thanks in advance!
  23. For those interested, this is the link I used to check the year of the watch based on the serial no: http://home.xnet.com/%7Ecmaddox/romans.html EDIT: I have found another site to check vintage year of Omega watches: http://home.xnet.com/~cmaddox/omega_serial_numbers.html This one seems more accurate and would place the one I am looking at around 1985, hence the 861 movt.
  24. Just checked out the one I am looking at (our local auction site), and it comes with a cal 861 movt... is that an older version? Is it supposed to be worth more/less?? The weird thing is based on the serial number on the case, the watch is not that old and should come with a 1861 movt.
  25. I wouldn't worry... you will probably receive your watch soon and the tracking page will still show it is in CN. They don't do a good job of updating the tracking...
