I found this post after a search because I tried to trial & error approach like Omni suggests when I got my Steinhausen 2 watch winder. It only has 2 programs: one is a a clockwise and the other is a counter-clockwise. Either runs for 12 seconds and then pauses for several minutes and then runs for another 12 second interval. I have found for my ETA 2836 and my ETA 2824 movement watches that I installed on there that neither program direction works......the watches always stop. I even tried manually switching between counter vs clockwise on alternating days.....that didn't work either. Steinhasuen is one a of the better known winders and I am surprised that they would sell a winder that doesn't work.....that is why I think that I am doing something incorrect....unless a 12 second wind interval is just not long enough to wind the watches. Anyone have a suggestion?

thanks for the offer Chief....i appreciate it. that was exactly the direction that i was going in initially.....i was going to use my noob-mariner's cyclops but because of its slightly larger size, i thought i'd see if there was a source for a correct 2.5x mag cyclops first. thanks again.
-
thanks. i sent joe an e-mail. i'll just post this request that if anyone else has a 2.5x mag cyclops for a sub that they want to sell, let me know.

i am looking to replace the 3x mag date cyclops on my 16610 frankensub with a proper 2.5x cyclops. i checked cousins but couldn't find the part. i checked ofrei and i see references to "cyclopes" parts, i cannot tell if they are crystals with cyclops and to what magnification. if someone can point me in the right direction for a source for the , i would appreciate it.

Calling all omega PO fans and dealers , warning !

my Ultimate PO 45.5 is from Andrew. i ordered the ETA version and upon inspection, confirmed that it indeed has a 2824-2 ETA movement. Andrew is a trusted dealer. -
be careful saying that around CTJoyce!!!!

What I want to know Pug is when did Randy become a MP3 player?!?!? I buy reps because it's my way of sticking it to the Man!!

Kurt, I noticed that there are serif's on the numerals of the insert....I've never noticed that font before. Is that an older insert on that 14060?
-
Kurt, I like how pointy you were able to get your CG's....that part looks really good. Randy, you never cease to amaze me with your skills.
-
Whew....that was close! I thought we were gonna lose you there for a second Randy! That Franken is simply beautiful....wear it well!

i'd be interested in one with a good case (one that accepts gen crystals and has correct bezel size & rehaut thickenss) and a correct bps movement.
-
and if rolexlover sells his case, i have two spare cases available....

:D the noobmariner caseback makes the frankensubs feel much better on the wrist. :D

tenacious, thanks for the comparison between the 2 PO's with the differing movements. have you noticed the asian movement to be more noisy when the rotor moves versus the other movement? also, is the thinner date font harder to read? thanks.

What's The Verdict On The Cheap Ultimate Po's?
haveblue replied to mezzanine's topic in The Omega Area
great comparison....thanks! i always thought that my eta PO 45.5 had a small date size.....if the asian is smaller, then that will make for a lot of squinting when wanting to read the date.. -

Does Noobmariner Dial Have The Right Size?
haveblue replied to bklm1234's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
the noob/nymph mariner dial does fit the mbw 16610....in fact the mbw 16610 now come with that same excellent dial installed from the factory. -
thanks for the shots.....very nice! what's funny is i pulled up both of the screens and then spent time turning my wrist to compare how mine looks with your pics. i cannot get over how this watch looks and feels on the wrist!

Removing Cyclops And Lug Drilling Follow Up
haveblue replied to TJGladeRaider's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
yeah, i know those 'cobalt fluted reamers' well....had one used on me today at work.....major a$$ reaming. :D thanks for the tip. i still need to find the best thing to use to drill the off bias lug hole on the tw classic. i think chief recommended these reamers in past to do that type of job..... -
