Hi all, As I'm not much of a Panerai expert, I was hoping people could check out the pics attached and confirm whether they think this is the new revised Noob 243L? Just got the QC pics and not fully sure if im totally honest :/. Canon pinion and lever pin dont look correct etc...Omega and Breitling more my game. Would appreciate your comments all. Cheers! C

You may as well mod the watch with gen tbe and crown. a relatively cheap mod and well worth it.

The AR doesnt look too bad JKay. One of the issues I had with the brietling reps in the pas, is that the AR was uber blue. This is more subtle which is better.

Anyone been able to confirm whether the white dial is creme in colour or more like the earlier white version? BTW, looking at the vids on Josh's site, the AR does to have "a hint" of blue/purple AR i noticed, so maybe not as people have been making out regarding AR. Maybe someone can shed there opinion? Rob?

If anyone pays more than the price of the new Steelfish, then more fool them. Guys, remember these are copies and the real deal second hand wouldnt cost that much more... The prices people are prepared to pay for a rep seems insane to me sometimes.

I don't think that is possible Rosnik? The A7753 (used in the 236) isnt really a copy of the Swiss 7753, it's a modified 7750. So depth etc is different. I can rememebr discussing this with Domi a while back.

Well, this is the third time my watch has been sent to him (after his initial service) and everytime he sends it back saying it is fixed, the exact same problem is there. And it's not as if it isnt obvious, the chrono hands dont reset at 12, ad randomly reset all over the bl**dy place.

Well.. third time my 236 has been back to Dominico for repair following his initial service in march of last year (got the watch back s few days ago), and exactly the same problem continues to happen. After his service, the smaller minute and larger seconds hands dont rest properly. This has been going on now for almost a full year. An utter joke if I;m honest. Going to taker my watch to a watchsmith that can sort the problem once and for all. Not happy and wont be looking at his services again. May all seem blunt, but there is a limit to everyoned patience.

Hi all, I know many many people before me (and after!) have asked this many a time, but is there now a general consensus on the "best" OOBG LV? Not really a fan of the new LV, as I much prefer the older model with black dial and the green bezel only. Before i get flamed to eternity, I'm not a noob who hasnt checked the forum first for info, rather Rolex isn't really my area of expertise (I'm more of a Breitling and Omega guy). Iv'e read loads of reviews on both here and RWI, but still undecided as they consensus varies greatly. I was hoping that maybe a version is out there that has been discussed and I have missed. I've checked out the Noob, along with the WM9 offered (probably not any more) by BK, but no really my first choice (can't afford so much outlay on a BK version in example) Can anybody suggest any good alternatives to the Noob and WM9 versions? That'll be a great franken mate. If only they could have made a version with the HE valve slighlty better in poition. It literally is the only tell.

Still no contact back from Dominico. Is he still on holiday?? I need an answer soon.... My PAM 236 has been with him since June if not earlier! Well, got it back after he did a dial/hand re-lume and service middle of this year, and when I recieved it back, the lume was different on hands and dial, messed up application on number "12" and movement was dead. Dominco (in his defence) did ask me to send it back and he would sort it all for me, but still no watch. I'm not a person to complain, but this is now getting a little annoying. Previous work from Dominco has always been A+. :/

Ah ok. Thanks Rosnik. Waiting to hear if he has finished my 236. He was going to re-do the the lume on dial and as last time it wasn't correct. And repair the movement. But hadn't heard from him. Now I know why.

I recently got a strap from Rich (Toshi straps). Absolutley superb!

Just got my PAM 236 back from Domi, and it needed to go back Asked him to do a service, and since the service, the watch stops intermittently and the chronos reset on random numbers (not on 12 as it should). Plus, paid 100 euro for a relume and got it back looking pretty much the same. Numbers still greenish and different from the hands. When charged the lume looks different betwwen the dial and hands too. Not happy..... Hopefully Domi can sort these QC issues out. Must say never had issues before and he seems a nice and genuine guy. Maybe he just really busy and stressed, so will give him the benefit of the doubt.
