Evening all! Well, I have finally (has took me years!) saved up my hard cash to buy myself a gen which I'm gonna store for investment purposes. Got a few in mind. -New 2010 Sub with ceramic bezel -2009 Sub LV -Breitling "code yellow" skyland -And at a push, the plati Yachtmaster. Anybody fgot any suggestions on which of these will probably increase in value at a better ratio? Im looking at the watch as a 30 years + investment. My head tells me rolex YM due to the precious metals and the fact its a rolex, or the "code yellow" breitling, as they only making 1000. What you think guys? P.S Before I get flamed, yes i know watches are to be worn, but I'm looking to these investments as my long term pension hopefully. Got no faith in the private pension system etc. Wil still wear it, just only on very special occasions) C.

Yeah mate, I agree, our dealers wouldn't really deal in this kind of stuff. More just asking whether if anyone knows of other dealers/website (outside our circle) that might. Just with the large majority of people on RWG being interested/knowledgeable in the rep field, I thought it might worth a shot asking. The G-shock i bought came in a box with version number (mtg1100-1adr) stamped on the barcode. This model dont exist (or at least i cant find it and im pretty au-fait with searching on the web). Also lume on the watch is pathetic and its supposed to be neo-brite lume. ive seen more brightness in a light bulb painted black. ha

Evening chaps and chapesses, I'm currently looking for sources of good quality G-Shock reps. Anyobody got any suggestions with regard to collectors and/or any other sources? Before anyone flames me into pieces haha ,I know this aint the normal place you would normally talk about lowly G-Shock quartz stuff. Reason I ask is that I recently bought a G-Shock MTG1100 and I have my suspicions it may be a fake. Just need to check with collectors and/or sources to find out if this model is available as a copy you see. Any help would be appreciated guys Cheers C

Just figured as the service is around 120 euro and a fully installed eta is 300, it might be worth the extra cash. gonna give it some thought. I definitley need to get the wobbly (when setting the time) crown sorted tho, but again, trying to locate gen parts is a mare. redwatch - Haha, yep. Afternoon chaps and chapesses, I'm looking to replace the asian mvmt in my EBEL 1911, and was wondering whether the ETA 7750 will fit without any issues? Also, is there any real difference with the day/date fonts? EBEL parts seem to a [censored] to get hold of.. Advise would be appreciated as always! C

My UPO just arrived back from Dominico this morning, and I got to say, his work is fantastic! Gen Dial, hands, new AR, water tested and serviced. Watch looks great! Thanks Dominico. Will post a few photos when I can find my camera.

Guys, no harm in comparing notes. I'm a fan of BKs work, but just out of my price league im afraid. For the record, I'm only regurgitating what I have been told by other dealers/people during my search/journey. . Just wanting to see what is out there.

Dont see why it should cost conserably much more either. At the end of the day, it's still a rep, the quality will likely be the same and only changes are in visual appearance.

Cheers for the info mate. Not after the BK modded YM at the moment, as it's way out of my price league. Interestingly enough, I just e-mailed Joshua asking whether he could source, and he told me that WM9 version wasn't the best available and that he will have access to a better quality rep in June....
