  1. It'll be as reliable as anything else with an A7750 in it, once serviced the movement should be good for 5 years+, The high end reps usually don't fall apart, sounds like you've been going down the route we all take, and getting the starter ones, which unfortunately don't tend to last as they are cheap with cheap parts. Put any watch side by side to a $80-110 version vs a $400-500 version and the difference will be quite clear! put a lot of the high end reps next to a gen and they stand up pretty well take the DSSD for example its 99% there on the ultimate. If you're bothered about the movement go with the ETA version, its easily verifiable by posting a pic on here the experts will chime in and confirm if it is or not :-D This Calibre 36 is very well made, and my DSSD seems indestructible. Get a high end one and get it serviced by domi or the The Zigmeister if you plan on keeping it is my advice. In the end you can't beat a Gen tho, nice to try it out first rather than shelling out 1,000's and finding it doesn't suit you etc.
  2. @Maxman Seconds run fine when the chrono is started / stoped and reset. The stop watch function works mint, its not running at 36,000 tho so its not 1/10th accurate :-D but 1/8th or there abouts is good enough.
  3. The quartz version has the 200 and some of the cheaper ones would you believe! (I think that it'll be one of these on PT's else Josh would have it, look who had the new PAM and amazing Hublots first and or exlucsively ;-)) Its not a major issue anyway and I like the little bit of extra depth on the datewheel.
  4. Thanks :-D Yeah the choc dial stands out much more, its great. I took a couple of the back i think although i was mainly captivated by the depth and detail of the front :-D, its see through with the markings as per on josh's website, although my limited edition number is different :-) I got it from Josh (Perfect Clones) http://www.1-pc8838.com/tgca3610012-grand-carrera-calibre-dlctiru-brown-a7750-p-8353.html
  5. That'll be the pam077 Radiomir Tourbillon powered by the GP Calibre 9907 and produced in 2000 i believe ;-)
  6. Indeed :-) Steel Panerai Radiomir 1936 PAM 00249. A 2006 special edition of 1936 pieces. A reissue of the first Panerai model ever presented to the Italian Marina Militare. 47mm case diameter water resistant to 30 meters. Black "California" dial with luminous hour markers and Arabic numerals. 2mm thick Plexiglass, with an additional glass provided incorporated within the inner box. See through sapphire crystal case back. I was looking at a special edition Platinum of this the other day it had blue hands, looked absolutely amazing, was going for
  7. 1 of only 50 made for the Eygptian Navy apparently. They must have had a small navy :-D
  8. Giving the Calibre 36 a bit of wrist time today :-D
  9. Fiddy again today (on black), can't take it off! Although I have swapped to the DSSD for tonight.
  10. Looks "tricky" I like it so much i may even sell my car (if i have to, to get one :-), no way theres going to be a decent rep of that baby. Anyone got a price and where one could purchase such a piece?
  11. I want one, anyone fancy selling theirs pref a nice modded one PM me :-D
  12. Welcome fellow North UK'er :-) Hope you're finding it very informative here, some great people and a wealth of knowledge on the board.
  13. You're not pictured here are you by any chance :-) Great place you live btw, I'd be too tempted to keep quoting bond lines when I saw him... "You Expect Me To Talk?! ....No Mr Bond I expect your to Die!" THE best bond by far.
  14. Fiddy again, but I changed to the black strap (no wristy yet so heres diff shot of the lovely chunky brown strap, I know someone will be glad to know its being well looked after and getting lots of wrist time). I Think the PAM is my favorite, then the Tag GC RS2Ti and then DSSD, so difficult to choose lol.
  15. Nice! Very elegant watch indeed!
  16. :-) Thanks, yeah the factory has been informed of the 200/0 issue and with the A7753 the date wheel won't be as deep (although I kinda like the depth tbh, they will have an almost perfect rep then bar the lume ).
  17. Tag Grand Carrera RS2 PVD Ti - Choc Dial :-)
  18. I've seen the vs gen thread it's a good thread with great pics and narrative. Who's arguing? Lol jayk u don't seem to like me? What's wrong with being excited to see both versions side by side so we can all choose what's best on what model and perhaps give some feedback to the factories to get a near perfect rep.
  19. Trust me to misread that. iPhone app for ip board makes text really small. Thanks kjay for pointing that out. FAT I don't like so maybe it was my brain replacing the word. Can't wait for the vs comparison when concepta has both :-D
  20. Lol very good :-) Love the watch selection in the background and the blurry pics :-) Nice find... reported, would hate anyone to shell out over $1000 for that, but i suppose they may well deserve it buying it from those dodgy pics.
  21. Welcome :-) Don't worry about only using "UK" dealers mate. (I was worried at first, but i've had at least 7 watches and lots more come through from china, mainly from Josh (Perfect Clones) and KB (Bergies)) no problems at all, no customs delays, no charges and usually within 10-14 days :-D sometimes quicker. You'll get a tracking number which you can use on ems website and also UK parcel force too, it comes in to Coventry then, customs, released from customers, to depot, etc.. Reg is great very fast and a great guy to deal with, but he doesn't carry a lot of stock especially the really high end stuff. When he goes away is when you want to request he bring you something specific back :-) He does legendary PO's which are amazing for the money too. Oh if you're stuck choosing which watch to get, have a good look round, some amazing threads on here with comparions etc. Lots of great people from all over the world :-D
  22. Lol what a thread this turned into...Well if its any help I got my Ultimate with correct bezel a while ago from Josh and its got the correct divers extension. The peal isn't flat like the one pictured from trevor. The hour markers are not flat either. Steel is F i think (the later one "shiner" whatever), I had it on at the airport and went and compared it to the Gen :-D, it looked pretty close. Granted the bezel isnt as nice and sits proud and the pearl isnt as nice. If you don't want to cry when you scratch it to bits or smash the crystal when you fall over drunk or someone steals it off you then you really can't go wrong with either of the models, and joe blogs who isn't a rolex expert isn't going to know, as long as "it doesn't tick!" lol ;-D oh and that damned 10 marker haha. Thread n pics of mine here is thats any use. p.s. If you want one you know is going to be 100% perfect go get a Gen from an AD, you can get 0% finance deals from a lot of them (in UK anyway). Frankly tho i'd be [censored] off if I spent 5k+ and scratched it or smashed it somehow, then the repair bill from rolex would be more than the rep just for the crystal or bracelet.... p.p.s Just seen last post, mine is waterproof (its been down to 20-25 meters) and washed under tap with fairy liquid to get it all nice n clean after the salt water.
