  1. I love my Jeffery West's and Fly London footware :-D
  2. I've sent him PM with my order, hopefully he'll get back to me in time! Cheers.
  3. Can't get hold of Bergie am assuming hes away, I know a lot of the dealers are away for chinese new year etc. I need to get a couple of rings ordered for Valentines day arrghhh! Anyone know any who are about or even better in EU?
  4. Lol I feel your pain! I went through the same thing, brute force and pliers eventually won, but bent a few of the pins, couldn't get the fu**kers back in with the crimped barrel in the middle so ended up leaving them out for now (using the most bent pins, so they've not fallen out!) until i can get it in my vice and then i'll just tap the buggers with a small hammer, tell you what though the first pin i put back in, went in just fine with a pair of long nosed pliers, bit of pressure then went in perfect the other side wouldn't go in at all, the link hole was stopping it, i swapped that link out for a spare then the middle bit stopped it.
  5. That's someone bidding it up, no way on this earth anyone would bid on that! 1 blurry pic and 3 negs 1 stating he tried to sell something on there as gen knowing it was faked hmmm!
  6. Doing this mod to my pin pusher pliers tonight, hopefully won't break any more pins then :-).
  7. If you update office 2007 to SP1> then it does have the genuine advantage crap, if you don't then its use as long as you like. There is an activator for the WGA for office though so even if you have sp1> its fine :-) The 2010 version obviously has it in too. Same story.
  8. Ughhh she will spend 150 on a tin of fish eggs and she drinks a cheap "branded" champgane!? No class these people have they, a bottle of Laurent Pierre Rose or a nice Roderer instead methinks
  9. They don't actually have their own tracker anymore. Not sure if linking that in public thread is a good idea, seeing as they have recently cracked down on these sites and closed down mininova etc... I prefer my torrent's kickass ;-)
  10. OMG! Please lets hope they don't find the elves or the Cuba connection! We'd be screwed then for sure :-D
  11. Just wait till they hear people franken there "almost undetectable fakes" with gen parts. OMG what will they do then, surely they won't get any sleep for weeks worrying if they actually may have one of the super fakes :-) Like someone just said, i find if funny that the genuine "experts" know less than the guys who claim not to be and just love watches, unbranded, fake, gen whatever. I got some photos laser etched into a crystal block for my missus's birthday last year, omg black magic :-) hehe
  12. Now all they need to do is add a gram to the weight, swap the crown out for a gen and no one can ever know :-) lol
  13. Great lookin watches! My shopping list just got bigger! Ubi that Omega looks particularly stunning :-)
  14. Good to know we have a skilled watchmaker in the EU thats so highly recommended! I take it there is no one in the UK? (only reason i ask is shipping risks reduced for non overseas). I'm building my collection slowly, so will need some servicing as the first two i've got are 7750's.
  15. I've got it sorted now. (although not perfect). (and i managed to break both my pin extraction tools, including the new plier's 0.8mm pusher :-() The link in question was ultra tight on one side that was the main problem (probably not drilled correctly as stated earlier), i found a drill small enough but could only find my plug in the wall drill which was too big and couldn't accept a drill that small, so that was out the window. I swapped the link in question out with one of the other ones i'd already taken out, i checked the pin went through both sides freely and put a bit of WD40 on the pin itself before sliding it through. I tried to put it in and it got stuck again, i took it out looked at it and the inside little barrel part of the link was the cause this time, i had a spare one so i tried it in that, still really tight so i though sod it i'll put it in without it! (Probably got some long term implications?!?) Anyway i had 2 nicely bent pins i'd straightened best i could, but were still a bit wavey. I used these without the inside barrel part making sure that they wouldnt just fall out (which they didn't thanks to them not being straight anymore lol. At least i can wear it now without a pin sticking in my wrist :-) The new UPO (correct subdials) i'm getting is going to have the black face and the black rubber strap (no more SS links arrghhh!) Hopefully this might help some n00b like me in the future when they get a UPO SS and try to resize it themselves.
  16. Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated, i will do that now. You're a star :-)
  17. Hi, I've got a 45mm UPO and a another one on the way (best version) was looking for some advice on where to get the gen parts from and how easy it would be to swap them out. Lani has said the tube and crown will be the first swap outs to do, might do the dial and the hands depending on the cost and if it makes a big difference (i'm presuming the lume and details would be better?) The lume on this one is great for about 20 minutes then it fades, thats with holding it up to a halogen light for a couple of minutes before hand too!? Whats the normal time for the lume to be bright on these and on the Gen's? Cheers.
  18. Thanks Lani I might need a spare! I'm currently wearing it with the pin sticking out the side lol, its sticking out about 4mm and will not budge a mm further in. I think i'm gonna need to put it in the vice to get this one out.
  19. Thanks guys :-) Lani yeah i noticed it was but, was the only braclet pin tool thread i found lol. I've got the links out ok, now I put the first pin back in, it went in fine with a pair of long nosed pliers and a gentle squeeze it just slid right in.... perfect! Went to put the pin in the other side, it will not go in at all, tried with the spare pins i have from the removed links but no joy they just bend, i've tried using stub pliers and grabbing it close and applying massive amounts of pressure but it won't go through the other hole on the link it just gets stuck fast, i have managed to wiggle it through so its just catching one side, but it seems there is no way i'm going to get these pins in this link again :-( I'm about to go and try and find some sand paper and see if i can sand one of the links a little bit so it goes in easier. Any advice on putting the pins back in would be much appreciated. Cheers.
  20. Same problem here, I have the standard plastic screw in type pin "remover"/"pusher outer" and having just got my first Omega PO rep SS (and needing to remove the links LOL!) Oh dear oh dear trust me to start off with a nightmare of a watch bracelet to remove pins from eh :-) Just went to maplin and bought the same thing as above the pliers these are branded "rolson" in the UK. The pin pusher isnt quite long enough, ive managed to get the pins out now but i've bent them a little with the sheer amount of force needed to pull the remainder of the pin out! If they made the pin pusher a bit longer it would be so much easier! Who designs these things?!?!
