  1. I've done the round and round game with DW for long enough. I found a cheap and good condition and fully functional gen V23 and have been tried to gather a V23 case from DW. The case he sends has the asym pushers in basically the wrong layout. The top pusher is further from the stem than the bottom. And it is by a significant and horribly obvious amount. I've had repeated problems with not getting what I've requested having to return and resend (dials, hands, cases) in the past. Is there any other source for reasonably priced Daytona cases (I know Phong and Natalie on the high end).
  2. When you're as cool as the slowest of hands, you can bastardize a classic piece all you want, I suppose.
  3. P4GTR's method using rocklube is, by far, the best method I've tried. Doesn't leave the bracelet oily and cleans a bunch of crap out of it in the process. It will make the crappiest rep bracelets quiet and smooth.
  4. Gorgeous piece. That's a DW dial? I may have missed some other posts.
  5. The wittenaur (sp?) bridge on the movement give it away?
  6. Nice looking piece.... http://bit.ly/fXdVBf
  7. This cat is damn serious about selling this piece. Invoking the name of Mr. Panarelli.... http://bit.ly/faW0vX
  8. $85 for the new service T-21 beveled edge like the one you have on the daytona you bought from me. I've PM'ed you the seller and you can see if he still has any. I've purchased several different crystals (few t-21's and Cyclope 116's) from him. Always new in plastic case. He's making a nice profit, but not as obscene as most places.
  9. I only count 6 here. However, 2 appear to be fake, so those shouldn't count.
  10. OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE Not exceedingly common in 16750 gloss dials....
  11. The no date spider web dial GMT:
  12. All joking aside, stunning place to hold a beautiful collection. The uniqueness of your treasures is really enjoyable to see.
  13. Awesome. And nice chest, as well.
  14. Seriously. "To the best damn stuntman in the world. Steve." So awesome.
  15. Specifically the last paragraph related to this forum.... http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704698004576104001598265530.html
  16. Sharp looking piece. Roulette date wheel?
  17. Among other things, click on the pictures and see where they take you.... http://cgi.ebay.com/Luminor-Marina-PAM177F-Best-Edition-/230565365786?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item35aec4481a#ht_500wt_1156
  18. I think they're more likely to leave you broke, which could cause you living on the street or having your better half murder you.
  19. May be my eyes, but is the "AP" in ESCAPE weird or is that a crystal effect? Also, perhaps this is a known issue with the model, but the date wheel doesn't look very well centered.
  20. Buy one of these, harvest the dial and sell the case and bracelet, etc. Probably can pay for itself. http://www.timesshop.net/product.php?id_product=6415
  21. If you were serious about wanting/buying this watch, surely you would spend the $500 max to fly to see it before hand (assuming you're in the US)? That's not much compared to the sale price.
  22. I have an MBW GW dial and hands that came off of a build I am putting together currently that I would be willing to part with. I'll PM you pics.
  23. The fact that anyone bid on that watch, much less paid over 3 grand for it, means government sponsored sterilization programs may have some merit. You almost need binoculars to even see the watch in the pics.
  24. V, please send pics of the finished product. I'm anxious to see your take on what it could have been.
