Let me get this straight: Explorers, Daytonas and now a Tudor I want to take off of your hands all within a few months? Amazing run for you.
FWIW, there was a sales thread on TRF a couple of days ago and the chap has a few T-128's for $150 each. Obviously, you can get one cheaper than that from the right connection at AD or watchmaker.
I would like to take credit for the dial, but it was SpinMaster. I did the hard part of snapping on the gen crystal....
I'm logicating on how to properly beat the case into reasonability.
A reasonably cheap (and I think decent) 1675 can be had from Josh's new 1655 case + tropic 116 and a decent gen bezel assembly and insert and 5.3 mm crown.
That thing has been for sale several times in the past few months. Of course, this is assuming that no more than one such abortion of a dial exists in the world.
I've never had good luck on the bay.. All of them I ever tried ended up being the slightly smaller ended yuki like bars. However, I am tempted by that obscene price and have PM'ed you for seller info if you have it.
I have a trusted seller on the vintage rolex market/forum that I've bought many sets of OEM 2mm bars from. He usually gives me 3 pairs of bars for $20 shipped. We're both in the CONUS, though. Not sure of your location. PM if interested in his contact info.
Is there a particular reason you want to keep the existing movement (date wheel, etc)? New DGXXXX movements are only $15-$30 depending on where you look. Just looking at Ofrei (which is not where i would necessarily buy from) they have most of the common chinese movements for those price ranges.
