  1. Very suspicious. And that's nothing compared to a guy selling a $50k watch with 27 feedback and most of them for $100 and lower sales.
  2. Yeah, it was one of those things that I just liked which is all that really mattered to me. There are obvious accuracy problems. The fonts on most dials are just absolute garbage. Not that these are really any more accurate, but they don't look like my son wrote it on the face with his crayons.
  3. Below is an old pic. I'm a very dreadful photographer and that's why I'm trying to learn how to take decent shots before writing up my build. Here's the ebay listing, his pics are much better than mine. Note, I didn't pay the price listed there but I dealt with him outside of Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-EXPLORER-MC-QUEEN-MATTE-DIAL-REF-1655-MARK-2-/250670089952?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a5d1a06e0#ht_2500wt_1114
  4. Genuine. By the way, I had a Clark and tried it too. Similar results, though not as crisp and just a cheaper look.
  5. The 116 fits nice and snug on the crystal ring and the bezel will push down right around the crystal with a bit of pressure. At least with mine. Not sure if there are wide variances case to case. Also, the date mag is almost spot on with the gens I compared to.
  6. I've seen a few 78350's on the Vintage Rolex Forum. I was interested in finding one for my Spinmaster version a while back. The ones I saw weren't even in the realm of reasonably priced, though. Thus, I never pursued.
  7. The dial on the space-dweller is stunning.
  8. Interesting. That orange hand looks a lot more "proper" orange than the version I got on the asian movement version. It was almost bright red.
  9. 1. I went with this ETA sweep second hand from Ofrei and shaved a bit off of the short end to make the hand universal thickness. HAN-6463. Looks pretty close to the gens I've seen with stick second hands. 2. Phong bezel. Pricey, but the best in my opinion. 3. I found a guy on the Bay (many members have bought various goods from) that has some really nice quality aftermarket dials from a pretty darned reasonable price. The Mark II I purchased from him has some absolutely amazing fonts and a nice frog's foot coronet. I was able to get him down from the prices listed on the Bay. EMS'ed from Asia and had the dial in under a week. INGOD44 For what it is worth, once the Josh case lugs were drilled to accept gen springbars my NDT 7206 riveted bracelet looked amazing with the case. I've seen differences in the current holes on the lugs, though. One I saw had the existing holes way too near the end to drill. The case I ended up working over had them in just the right spot for drilling and matching the bracelet up. Everything else should work like a champ.
  10. I'm not generally a fan of the "colorful" watches, but that is a real stunner... Wear it in good health.
  11. First, I went through a fury of buying about every 1655 from every vendor when I was on a mission. The "new" Josh 1655 I bought the one with the cheapo asian movement. Then I opened the case and threw away the cheapo asian movement. I should mention that the dial that comes with these cases are just a skosh wider than the aftermarket 1570 dials. They rest on a little shelf inside the case and fit pretty snug. The aftermarket rested on that shelf but there will have to be some adjustment by someone with more watch skills than I to get perfectly centered. Also (and I know everyone's aware of this), I'm not sure of the tolerances/standards on these things or if such things even exist. I'm sure there will be watches that will not have the luck I did.
  12. I bought a Mark II aftermarket dial for 1570 and it fit like a glove into Josh's case. I tried it when I was tinkering around trying gen parts on Josh's case. Love the frog's foot coronet sans the scar I left on the edge and the horrible pic.
  13. Yeah, I sort of read your question after opening my mouth.
  14. In regards to your last question, I believe Andrew asks you to verify the shipping address. Which is why the EMS form is under the watch.
  15. I purchased a yuki 1655 case when I was on a recent 1655 odyssey. This is all my opinion, but I was greatly disappointed. The gen tropic 116 crystal did not fit and the finish was not what I thought was pictured. I'm not sure if it is like the old 1655 with the sub case with 1655 bezel, but I had problems. Perhaps it was my general lack of watchmaking skills. Fortunately, he/she accepted the case back and refunded my cash. In that sense, it may be worth a try to see if you have better luck.
  16. Stilty has an ETA adapter, as well. It's a tad cheaper than Yuki's.
  17. That link I posted before has a pic of it unmodified. I trimmed a bit off of the short side to get it to be uniform in width (as close as I could do) along the whole length of the hand. That's how I've seen the stick hand 1655's appear. May not be 100% correct. I found a Mark II'ish dial and I'll have everything done in the next couple of weeks. I'll post pics then.
  18. And which do you sell to me for a ridiculously low price????
