  1. I have a Sternkreuz T-21 for sale on the parts forum. Make me an offer. And, yes, it was difficult to source.
  2. It really bothered you that much? Seriously? I wasn't saying I invented the internet or discovered the meaning of life. Simply found something that worked and I thought it might help someone. I will be more diligent in finding which topics have been discussed before. My apologies.
  3. Okay, sounds good. Just thought it might be helpful.
  4. Why would I search to find the posts?
  5. I'd never really found anything that cleaned up a marred up plexi, so I thought I would give this stuff a try. Had a 127 that was all beat to $hit and scratched with some fairly deep scratches. Bought a tube of this stuff and after it looks like brand new. Did a bit of rough sanding with 400 paper and then squirted this directly on the plexi and rubbed with a cotton cloth for a few minutes.
  6. Sorry to hear that, Marty. I'll buy that PAM back that I sold you, if it would help.
  7. All of the vintage parts they strip off of pieces during the service, end up somewhere. My guess is on the vintage market for an insane premium.
  8. The 13 again.
  9. The dial, tiny lug holes, pearl, caseback and fliplock all appear match the MBW 1665 I picked up from Narikaa many moons ago.
  10. Unfortunately, like all of Yuki's bracelets (that I know of), it does not accept gen 2mm bars. Of course, that may have changed.
  11. I had one that I sold to redwatch when I found a good 7206. The Yuki bracelet is really nice and heavy and doesn't sound like an unfolding lawn chair when you move your wrist. I oiled it up with P4TGR's rock and roll lube and it was smooth as butter. I would easily buy another if I had the need. P.S. I paid $75 back in the day so not sure if it is a different bracelet now or if I just got taken to the woodshed.

  13. My favorite pic with a fat strap.
  14. Nice piece. Where'd you score it? What I would have done if I'd kept the watch. First, new crown and tube. That stock crown is pretty poor. Second, beat the case up to match the dial. Something I left for you to do. Third, if you want a more accurate bezel. Buy a Yuki bezel. The numbering is quite a bit better. Enjoy it...
  15. I've been periodically searching for a gen 7205 bracelet for a 6239 for a bit. I find an auction on the Bay for a 17mm 7205 bracelet with 67 end links. When I look at the pics the bracelet was dirty but looked to me like 57. Not being smart enough to not take a chance, I bid about half of what I was thinking I would have to spend ($150), figuring I wouldn't win. A bit of stretch, but otherwise in reasonable condition for 40 years old. Needs a run in the ultrasonic but it fits like a glove.
  16. By no means recommending this approach and too much force could lead to some bad things like cracking the crystal, I have had luck with the following approach when the crystal press wouldn't do the trick. With the case fully disassembled, take a pair of adjustable bite pliers and place a nice soft cloth in between the case and the teeth so you don't mar your case. Then work around pressing slightly, then move a bit and press, move a bit and press. Eventually getting it seated. You may have to make a few 360 degree passes and don't want to bring any spot down too much at one time. Obviously, if it is taking a lot of elbow grease to push the bezel down, you probably have to do some sanding.
  17. Yeah, I bought from him and used on another project with a crown I actually paid for so I guess I'll go to the well again...... Haven't seen a Clark or Yuki or anything in other than 703 and just wondered if they were out there?
  18. A couple have the expected dings and I need to check the springs and that I can screw a stem in. PM me your address and I'll send one to you if they aren't crap. BTW, is there an aftermarket tube available? People are very proud of their gen tubes.
  19. I bought a large lot of parts off of Ebay for $20 to scrounge an Omega part I saw in the bunch. The goody bag had 5 identical Rolex crowns like below included. Doesn't fit the 703 tube and has threads about half way up on the inside. I assume a 702? Thanks in advance.
  20. The seller "noobmarineratgmail" with 8 feedback gives me an initial burst of confidence in authenticity.
  21. I always wondered what being murdered by your own country would get you. Quite impressive.
  22. I too pondered the idea of buying a set of rolex dies and tool. I decided against it and I have never once run into a screw case back that the Bergeon 2533 suction wouldn't open. Though, extremely tight cases probably would require something a tad more robust.
  23. Thanks. I'd pretty much forgotten about it when I saw your post yesterday and realized you'd be selling me yours and I wouldn't have to scrounge for a 7734, anyway......
  24. I've always wondered if a Poljot 3133 would be a direct swap for the 7734? I believe that the ruskies bought the valjoux process/design to make the 3133. A little bit simpler and cheaper to find one of those movements and to the eye they roughly "look" the same. Posted a question on the movement forum a while back to see if they were a direct swap and got no responses. Always too lazy to find the specs for both myself.
