  1. One with some damage!!!! for sale on RG just now - it has a rep lever and pin fitted but is from a reknown member from across the boards - Gen A-F series.
  2. Thanks guys - cant find an Mxxx/800 caseback anywhere? Its been dressed up for business today - on black Gef.
  3. Looking good M - is it me, or do the Rep case lug chamfers look really pronounced at the front, in the lower half of the lug. Normally you can never find a case with a chamfer, yet this one looks quite wide towards the tip, making the lug tip look thin? Or, is it light playing tricks, as on the Gen the chamfer is not too noticeable at all? That dial is awesome!
  4. Fantastic build Frank and that leather Nato looks great - and such super value at €11! Gonna try that ageing technique (bleach and Mink oil) on one myself.
  5. Its just a Noob 112M with a DSN first generation dial installed. I forgot to flatten the CP before sealing up and testing to 7ATM - doh!!!! I will space off the crown a fraction more as well when its next in bits. The first gen dial, as many know, is the better of the two. The latest dial has an incorrect LSML placement and the diameter of the minute indices track is too small - leaving too much space to the rehaut. These dials are as rare as rocking horse ##*t just now.
  6. Really nice, love the radiant dial. :-)
  7. Not quite finished, but looking good so far..............a Panerai 114M from 2010 model year. Some Simona goodness - love the strap, not sure if it is right for this watch? I am quite annoyed with myself for forgetting to do one obvious thing before this was reassembled and tested to 7 ATM - you can probably guess what! :D
  8. Great choice - you wont regret that! Just picked up a Gunny Caitlin 3 for my 288k. It wears nice on a Bob Coconut buffalo 27/22 which looks like the Ass strap
  9. +1 - do you want to go large and shiny or stealth and ceramic black? The choice is yours.
  10. Many choices in this category - do some research on the forum for the 000N H factory, 112M Noob factory, latest 390 for starters?
  11. Watcher - did the gen crystal ever arrive / Any updates on this front? Thanks.
  12. Very nice, what is the difference(s) between V1 and V2?
  13. Yes, I would def send it to Vac for a relume - half of the lume is missing from the hour and minute hands Beautiful piece D - you also have impeccable taste in Gator straps
  14. As many have said, an excellent informative review - I think I will have one. Always have regretted selling my early UPO some time back.
  15. You know I had never noticed that, so that makes me a...... This is the original DSN dial from his 02a around 2008. My caseback is also DSN's latest with the correct 30ATM. The pictures isn't very well lit, the engraving is much better in real life. Here is the original sales post from DSN with that dial.... http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=18382
  16. Here is my custom 002a.............Oncyte build with The Zigmeister T relume, courtesy of Grifter, thanks M ! (on a H 18 strap and KH polished buckle at the moment):
  17. Latest rehaut angle looks better but still too deep? I miss my WM9 M Serial that never did arrive.............. Lets all await V3 :-)
  18. @txc - wonderful photography and collection :-)
  19. Looking THE BUSINESS, very nice.
  20. The 104i looks a nice example, but will certainly benefit from a movement regulation. It wasnt so long ago that this model was considered possibly the best out of box auto PAM rep and its still a great piece. Looks really great on a black croc deploy combo like the gen :-)
  21. I was looking (and wearing) the gen version of this just recently and was amazed how bright the bezel is and how the steel is brushed in radial lines from the hand stack/dial centre to the outer edge? It is like a true sunburst pattern - a detail that is not fully visible on the rep - well not on my battered bezel. The other detail I noted is that the CG's as they enter under the perimeter of the bezel are also brushed - in line with the bezel perimeter edge. It is a straight line finish and only the curved upper surface of the CG's are highly polished. Not always seen in Gen pictures but very obvious in the hand or on the wrist. The CG's on the rep are polished right under the bezel circumference. Just a couple of additional details that can be modded in - if one is so inclined ? Oh, and the infill in the bezel numbers is almost to the top of the bezel surface - it is not a thin coat of paint in the base of the recess! So the crayon method might be a way to achieve this 'fill'?
  22. Sneed - many thanks for the input - been enjoying your Franken Exp II threads recently - great stuff! @Ronin - wonderful stuff - I will study these links for sure Thanks for your support on this! I now have enough to move forwards, thanks again to all.
  23. Great memories guys............. A little mix and match. First up the DRSD on Donerix Nato......... And the 1655 on folded 7836..........complete with fingerprints and DNA
  24. Can anyone please point me at a link for a tutorial on repainting the inlaid numbers on the bezel? Many thanks I tried the search function, but you guessed it...... I have a beautiful modded BK modded Noob Explorer II that needs some TLC to the the Bezel ring - some of the black inlay paint has worked off! So does anyone know if it should be gloss? Satin? or matt finish paint? The 14 and 24 are paticularly bad - but quite a few numbers are effected Here are a couple of crappy pics... So I started to look more closely with a standard wooden toothpick and found that all of the numbers were loose and flakey? This is what she looks like now. The macro shots under harsh desklights make the watch condition look poor - but it isn't in the flesh. The bezel will be overhauled and then the case, lugs and bracelet cleaned and refinished also - back to its very best The watch has a BK DWO (and his other tweaks), Gen correct crown and aftermarket crystal. I just need some advice on the best paint and best technique to do the inlay work???? PLEASE! All answers on a postcard please.....
  25. Back in the 70's I was probably old enough, but not 'knowing' enough to have even heard of Rolex!
