  1. I don't understand what is the fixation with these movements, these movements have the same functionality as a normal Swiss ETA 6497-1 anyways. These movements won't fool someone in the know anyways, as there is always a giveaway on these movements, such as bad finishing or incorrect font. It's not worth to pay another $100 for it. I say get a 001, as that watch is the closest to gen when all mods are complete. I say you should try to get an actual set of the canon pinion to mod it, as the Davidsen capped hands still look a bit "fake" to me. Relume, crown and maybe AR caoting and you're good to go, you've got something that is 99.9% to the genuine. You should do a 005 if you like it, but the only problem is the caseback is inaccurate, but I think Davidsen has a correct caseback avilable too.
  2. My bezel is reasonably tight at least, in that it doesn't turn as easily, it just requires a little force. I'm trying hard not to look at the misaligned bezel, but it's very hard for me not to unfortunately. Apart from the stripped screws, everything else about this watch really impresses me. The sheer weight and size of this monster, and the incredible presence it provides on the wrist is just amazing. I have used the chrono movement 10 times since I recieved it, and no problems to report, everytime it starts and resets perfectly and smoothly. Also keeping time bang on with the atomic clock for the past 10 hours.
  3. Instinct tells me France will get get lucky and win the World Cup 1-0 with a goal by Zidane. Personally, this has been a disappointing World Cup for me. All of my top 3 favourites are now gone.
  4. Yep, mine's a Power Reserve model too.
  5. Hmm, does your have a engraved HE valve by any chance?
  6. Donate all of it to me, so you don't have to pay any more taxes!
  7. 212 is just so much more practical than the 187. It's a good size, not too heavy and a lot more subdued and elegant than the ugly 187. The 187 is awesome, but just doesn't suit everyday wear.
  8. I put my name on a waiting list earlier this year at an AD in Singapore for this watch. The waiting list is close to 2 years long, and there's no discount off the list price, which I believe is $110,000 Singaporean. I was able to buy it last week secondhand from a Purist for $34,000. Just working out the wire details, and will post pictures when I get it.
  9. Gosh.... That PVD 176 looks so damn good, I may have to do one myself sometime, after I finish the PVD 028.
  10. What an idiot, but the sad thing is eBayers with lack of knowledge will actually pay $200 for a movement worth nothing.
  11. Nope, Americans only..... Damn it!
  12. The Daytona's movement is a ticking time bomb, and is not worth the risk. The Breitling is better in general, they both are just as accurate, but the Breitling has no finicky movement issues like the Daytona.
  13. Nah, I don't really care. Just trying to add a little drama.
  14. Anyone else have this problem? Both of the screws on my 187 were stripped whn it arrived. Time to contact EL for replacement screws.
  15. It is too big for me, but I'll wear it anyways.
  16. Awesome! Can't wait to see it finished.

  19. I stalked my mailman waiting for the 187, Here it is: Here's to give you the idea of how it fits on my pencil wrist.
  20. Is there any posible way to fix this? I just got and it and love it, unfortunately it has a misaligned bezel, everything lines up, but the bezel doesn't stay bang on @12. But I don't want to send it back. Your help is appreciated, thanks.
