What I did was I heated the watch up by immersing it in hot water, then quickly removed the watch from the water and slowly, carefully pryed each marker off with a very flat ended screwdriver on the side. It required only a little force, because it appears that the heat had already softened the adhesive up a little. Then, you remove any residue from the prior attachment on the markers and on the bezel itself. After, you apply a thin layer of epoxy on the bottom of the marker using a toothpick, and carefully set the marker back in its place, give it a hard press, and let it dry for 24 hours to allow enough time for the epoxy to cure. That's just my experience and results, yours may differ.

Yep, same problem with me, 2 markers fell off, and I ripped all of them off the bezel and epoxied them on myself.

I wish. If they made one it would stink anyways. I tried one on at a Patek AD in Paris earlier this year. The question is, could you pull off a $200,000 watch?

What an embarassing way to end his career. I expected Zizou would bow out with a little class after an era, but it was very sad to have ended abruptly like that. But the headbutt doesn't erase what he did in the past, but definitely is a buggerish black mark on his record.

Normally Light AR coated is AR coated BS, but it does exist sometimes, a 177H I bought from Joshua with "Light AR coating" did have it, whether it was real ro fake I don't know, but there was definitely a blue tint to the crystal. I doubt that their 187 will hae it, as it is the exact same one we got from EL anyways.

I would like to provide a reason for my general animosity against porn, etc. It just brings back really horrible memories from a few months ago when I was sitting on a jury in a murder trial. We were shown numerous exhibits seized from the computers of the accused, who dreamed raping women and then murdering them afterwards, and it was revealed in open court that they had over 50,000 pictures combined of pornographic material, and we were shown quite a few of these pictures. Unfortunately, their violent fantasy did come to life and cost a young mother her life, and almost her child's life. So whenever I think of porn-obsessed people, I unfortunately think of violent rapists who murder women now. I'm very sorry it came to this, but this is what happened.

I've taken my 187 into the shower and put it under the tap numerous times today to clean it off. I've even submerged it in water for 30 minutes today, and so far nothing bad has happened. I know there are seals on the caseback at least, and the crown snaps in there snugly, so I'm pretty confident of taking this watch swimming. Otherwise, I'll just have an expensive $400 paperweight.

The world mourns with you Mark...... There is no words to express my utter indignation at this incident, and all that died will never be forgotten by us. My uncle who normally takes the No. 30 from his home to go to work in the borough of Hackney, just missed his bus because his shaver cut his face that morning and he was a very lucky man. I still have nasty thoughts every now and then of what would have happpened if the shaver didn't cut his face.

I'm not sure you could stick it directly over the datewheel, the date is sunked quite deep, but I don't think it's as easy as that. You could just switch the datewheels and get a closer datefont, but beware if your PAM 50 is an older Asian 7750, as the datewheel isn't interchangable, I remember from The Zigmeister's posts, it will require tinkering with the movement and swapping of some parts first. The new Asian 7750 is basically identical to the Swiss one afaik, but the old one has differences.

I really think that pornographic avatars degrade the membership, and paints pictures of us all being horny middle-aged guys who have to get their instant gratification off pictures instead of the "real thing". This is the worst way to attract single women if you are single, I'm telling you now.

Ok, I don't want to be labelled as the prude of this forum, but I really don't think a avatar of a completely naked woman inserting something into her vagina is appropriate. Plain and simple. Avatars like sgl_pl's are more than fine. I think we are driving away a lot of potential audience by this, and especially female members. Every wonder why there's only something like 1 or 2 female's on here? And god point, Pugwash, using pictures of boobies to attract women is self-destruction.

I want to bring up the issue of the use of pornographic avatars on this forum. I was thinking, should there be some guideline as to what is appropriate and inappropriate for use as avatar? Now don't get me wrong, I love naked women as much as the next person, but sometimes it just doesn't seem appropriate for a forum like this, and especially when we read the forum at home in front of our wives, fiancees, etc. Thanks.
