It is a blue dial, but the colour varies in different lighting conditions, sometimes it looks black, others bright blue!

I originally had DSN PAM082, but after a few short days I sold it before I became too attached, I don't really know why, probably over spent that month! However I still couldn't get that watch from my thoughts, so I contacted DSN once again, but this time requested a decorated Asian PAM082 style titanium watch, with no branding After a couple of weeks, I had a parcel from Hong Kong, who wants to see what was inside? Suffice to say I am very happy with the watch, it is nice to have an unbranded PAM in your collection. Davidsen sent two straps with two ti buckles, one black and the pictured brown, I think the brown colour contrasts with the blue dial really well. I also managed to capture the dial colour this time, it really changes with the light The lume on the 12 is a tiny bit "off", Davidsen offered a replacement dial, but it does not really bother me so I will leave "as is".... Comments and observations welcome

Could be, who knows? I would never buy their end links I would just buy a rep rubber strap, which includes the end links, should cost no more than $80-100

Thanks Dani, I think for the price it is a great deal! The durability and cleanness of rubber, with the comfort of calf leather on the underside I don't think I would lay down much more than that on a strap again, the appeal of exotic straps soon wears thin, just like the leather itself!

And by selective Dani you really mean singular, as in just you. Those countless posts are also, just by you It's only a $60 strap, looks great, fits the lugs well and is of a high quality construction, or do you not think so?

The watch had the rubber strap installed originally, with the correct shaped lugs

Thanks mwee, I think it looks rather nice too! It is now glued to my wrist The strap is too small for the buckle, IE: It does not fill the buckle to each edge, but I can live with that, as I find the larger buckle off sets the large case itself, keeping things in proportion

I found the install pretty straight forward really, no major issues to speak of. I also ordered a set of AP case screws for $20, as one of the rep case screws was threaded, managed to dig it out though I would suggest anyone messing with AP watches, just leave the lugs, and lug screws well alone! Either buy it to wear on the steel bracelet or rubber/leather strap, don't try to change it round later.... Cheers!

I purchased this sweet black dial AP from forum member mwee, having sold my previous AP, only to regret it! Thanks very much mwee, he is a great guy to deal with! I have installed an APbands strap, an unusual strap, but great quality and only $59! You can find it here: http://apbands.com/shop/merchant.mvc?Scree...Product_Count=2 It is a grain effect rubber strap, with folded edges and leather underside, very comfortable. I also used an AP buckle from Puretime, it is so much nicer than the flimsy deployant buckle, although the strap is 2mm or so too small for it, it does not bother me.... Here are some pictures, judge for yourself! Keep clicking to expand! The strap fits really well, and the lack of deployant clasp makes for a more comfortable wear. I was also surprised to find the strap repels dust and fluff etc.... I thought the grain effect would be the opposite, it is easy to wipe clean too! Comments and observations most welcome!

The movement picture I posted before was a standard 3, 6, 9 7750, to show the reason why the date was recessed because of the transfer gears.... The picture from Francisco is the newly modded 7750

Great stuff Francisco! If it is correctly jewelled I can see no issue with this modification, a pretty simple double gear system to shift the two subdials, and a standard 3, 6, 9 transfer gear set, but with a slightly altered final position

Don't worry, it is the same for everyone, you have not messed up anything!

Or try and construct a "two tier" date wheel consisting of two date wheels, connected together at the outer edges of the lower date wheel, to stay clear of the transfer gears, in doing so you would have the gears sitting in between the two date wheels, and the date would be raised, but maybe too far?....... Picture borrowed from Rolexman: All of this of course is not even considering what extra gears will have been added to the movement, to move the subdial's closer together, as the above picture is from a standard 7750 with the 3,6,9 transfer gears....

A Swiss movement with 3,6,9 config is a 7750 with the 12>3 subdial transfer gears. Or there is the Swiss 7753 movement, both of which have subdials spaced further apart than the modified A7750 movement used here.... There is no Asian cloned 7753 movement, so that is a non starter for subdial relocation/modification, although the 7753 does not have the recessed date wheel, due to it having a natural 3,6,9 config..... Cheers!
