  1. Assume the camera was found downstream unless fouling the water from two orifices scares them off.
  2. Oh damn, I resurrected an old thread.
  3. Damn. Now that I have been told there is no God I guess I should ask another question that may dispel another childhood myth.........................................who is taking the bites out of the cookies and carrots I leave out on Christmas eve????? Be gentle.
  4. I have quietly been around for a number of years and have seen numerous semi significant changes both in quality and pricing. I have bought a good deal of reps from a good deal of dealers. I haven't gotten close and personal with them. I order based on others experience, now mine, and await arrival w/o tracking since I have never had any delays or problems.(knock on wood). It didn't take the threads to complicate matters. My gut was rumbling long before. The web sites, the claims, the pricing with the claims and service, the difference in or better yet similarities in pricing of competitors for what appeared to be virtually identical product, ultimate, so called ultimate, ultimate lite, ect. Some looked upon it as full service, thinking outside the rep box, better widget, basic supply and demand meets marketing, business 101, and/or just good business. I don't require alot of extras as I do some of my own work and source service where needed. Many have been around longer and are much more educated to speak on the personalities, realities and detail. I love watches pure and simple. I have gens and reps. I understand it's a rep, there are risks, and thats basic to the art, but I have never in the past felt the need to open up a watch "just" to check the movement vs. what I ordered. Maybe thats foolish but I just haven't felt the need until recently. Interesting to see the folks that are showing up as non drop shippers were the ones I was looking to purchase my next watches from.
  5. BMW 540 6 speed. Thoroughbred horses. Own a 16.3h Hunter Jumper. Cart/Indy car racing. Nothing like horsepower. Music, lots and lots of music, all kinds. add46.88.......nice hand, wish I could do that.
  6. Everytime I see discussion about these I tell myself to stay away but............................ Ruby is having a sale on her Breitling Navitimer and I have been warming up to them for some time.
  7. that thing looks like it runs on methane with a built in method of obtaining fuel.
  8. Agree. It's the 45 or nothing for me. Just got one from Andrew and would feel cheated with the 42 regardless of wrist size. Like the feel, look, and heft. It makes you look twice not just at the case but the bracelet of a Seadweller or Sub. Too bad it didn't work out.
  9. Burned by the British in the war of 1812. They were [censored] off about something. Might have been more impressive had they simply painted it a different color.
  10. What those folks have is very simply called a gift. Lot of work but still a gift.
  11. Great pictures. Settled my PO debate.
  12. I got caught in a vicious cycle. Started looking at automatic 325's and ended up in a six speed 540. Lot's of choices and they are all fun to drive. If it's down to those two go for the 320. Good luck.
  13. Cabernet Crap The Dry Heaves Murderous Merlot
  14. If he is still looking for a ride by the end of the year maybe he will take a break and come stateside and drive CART for a season. Obviously not quite the same but wouldn't mind seeing him at Long Beach. Who knows, Nigel did.
  15. A little embarrassed I didn't see this before. Why is he retiring? I guess seven is enough.
  16. Coffee, black, thick as mud, in a mug, and lots of it. Starbucks, Peets, joe's, yours, mine, doesn't matter as long as you have to sift it through your teeth. Water quality usually doesn't matter under the circumstances. Usually helps pull you out of the night before excesses till your so jittery you need to start again to take the edge off..... I know, we in the colonies have no class........that's been bothering me for some time. Like the Polex mug
  17. Should have done this a long time ago having lurked this and other boards for too long. I may not have alot to say but very much appreciate the board and input of others. I'm in.
  18. Lived on the Southlake/Keller border a few years back. How's Terry Bradshaw and Pat Summerall?
  19. Asked the same question on another board a good while back. Got a 111 from Trusty a few months back and have a hard time getting it off my wrist. Agree with the other comments about it getting noticed even if no one knows what it is. Got on a flight last Tuesday and was waiting in the front of the aircraft for the aisle to clear and the stewardess told me she loved my watch. It just happens.
  20. Been watching all the banter regarding Aspire since his crazy sale started. Don't post much but have purchased 10 replica's from most of the dealers. I have bought from Paul before a good while back. In fact it was over a year ago now and was the one that got me into all this mess. Figured I had nothing to lose and pulled the trigger on his supposed "Ultimate Sub" for $108 and figured so what if it was late and can't beat the price. If it showed up in a reasonable time with out problems I thought I might further try my luck on the then $159 Planet Ocean. I got an almost immediate tracking number but after 10 purchases I don't sweat it as much as I used to. I was out of town when it arrived and my wife confiscated it for a birthday present so I don't know exactly how long it took, but no more than 16 days. Most have probably seen the watch talked about in various forums and despite the various flaws most find, (date mag, ect.) it was a good deal better than one I purchased a year ago from another reputable dealer, granted the subs have improved. Don't necessarily buy his alleged lack of quality, at least in this case. Bottom line is the delivery was relatively fast based on previous purchases, packed well, and I am happy. Prices are going up somewhat but I would do it again.
  21. Can't tell which one I like more. They all have different personalities. Going to have to look a little harder for that Speedmaster.
  22. I had one hang up in customs and finally got it at 22 days. Check threads in the old RWG under customs.
