  1. Pfff, I didn't think you meant from MQ -your English is great! I know what you mean, I have two other projects (a 5517 & gilt dial 5513) in the works and need to slow down.
  2. Very Nice Tribal, Star and Jetsons! Gen or rep -does it really matter we all share a passion for timepieces and I love seeing them all! Now back to the subject at hand; did someone say Tudor's... I love Tudors. Some eyecandy with my gen snowflake 7014/0 and franken 7031/0.
  3. WW, thanks for the compliment. The date wheel is not the same font as the original but looks like a generic one you see in other VJ7734's. I do like that mine alternates a red and black print. I'll have to take a closeup shot soon. I've seen pix of Monte Carlo's with replacement dw's that are a similar plain font, so it doesn't really bother me. I'd rather get the proper 589 or 593 end links on my bracelet for now, 580's are too short and annoy me . This was a completely assembled piece I bought form J&W, so I'm assuming the dw was already with the movement.
  4. They are aftermarket customized watches called the Prohunter.
  5. Hi Pfff, I haven't purchased from them before but email responses are hit an miss, the pricing is sure better then J&W. You might also look at ND Trading for a case, and carries a lot of the same stock as MQ. NDT is located in the US, which is a big plus (for me in any event)! PM me if you have any questions. -TMG
  6. Crazy isn't it! The prices keep going north fast.
  7. 6152 today on a cognac GeF La Spezia strap
  8. Nice collection PF! Funny, my collection has a lot of stainless steel in it too
  9. Ah, one more day . Maybe I'll be tired of it tomorrow.
  10. Nice find Freddy, it looks pretty darn good! The photos also seems to have some harsh lighting so I wonder if the red print is better in person???
  11. I snapped a quick pix of most of my collection. You'll notice an obvious theme in my taste. The reps have been accumulated over the past 18 months. Prior to that the only three watches I owned in the photo were the Speedmaster, Tudor Sub and Type 1 (I guess my first franken). Someone stop me! -this is such an evil little hobby Starting from the top is my MBW/MBK 1665 fully modded, with a T39 superdome on a gen expansion rivet bracelet. The middle row, if you will from L-R: is my franken 1655 w/ gen T116 crystal and Omega Flightmaster hands (which are spot on to the gen). Center is a DSN 6152 with aged dial/hands on a GEF strap with GPF-MOD DEP repro buckle. Next is my gen Tudor 9401 "Snowflake" Sub with T19 superdome. The bottom row: DW 6263 Daytona with a Valjoux23 movement; gen crown, T21 crystal and 78350 bracelet. Second is a Gen Omega Speedmaster w/ display back. 3rd is my latest piece; a J&W franken Tudor 7031 w/ Valjoux 7734 movement, gen pushers, crystal and 7836 folded bracelet. Last in the lineup is a Marathon Type 1 style diver converted byMkII Watches.
  12. Thanks guys for all the kind words, the Monte Carlo to me is the epitome of the 70's busy dial sport watch and I'm lovin' it! @ptolomeo it's jewelryandwatch.com @jetsons this sure is the big block case it's as thick of not thicker than a 1665. @marsupilami please keep us posted on the progress of yours, you'll be real happy with the end result. End links will be tough, I believe the correct ones are 589's, the gen 580 and 258's I have are not tall enough as you can sort of see in the first pix. I didn't have the patience on this one to have it built up and decided to just buy the complete watch. It's an instant gratification thing! @verbal -I'm a sucker for Tudors too as you know @torresp there is no comparison to the DW pushers. The gen are snug, smooth to screw & unscrew and feel more substantial and not so tinny like the DW pushers.
  13. Thanks Arty! It's a franken, I wish it was genuine but I still have two kids to send to college so this will suffice .
  14. Well, I'll be enjoying the Monte Carlo for a few more days

    Orsa Monstrum

Great watch and mean looking! You never know when you'll need to defect a bullet
  16. Hi BT, Thank you! I bought it as you see it, according to J&W it's gen and pretty rare these days.
  17. Thanks guys, it is very unique indeed! I neglected to mention that the gen pushers are smooth as silk, no comparison to say the pushers on a DW daytona. Stilty, I'll PM you.
  18. Thanks my friend. I can forsee some extended wrist time with this one!
  19. Hi all, I posted a Tudor Monte Carlo update here.
  20. As promised here are some more pix of my 7031 (really a 7032 thanks Ubi!, since I chose a stainless bezel) -a grail watch of sorts for me. This is a vietnamese made case and complete watch from J&W with gen pushers, gen crystal, and a VJ7734 movement with a Tudor engraved bridge, mounted on a folded 7836 bracelet with 258 end links. The quality of these cases are just amazing. The date alternates red and black, although this DW is not original to the 7031 it's pretty cool. Yes, the crystal is slightly off center which I'll take care of soon. It's been some time since I had a watch I just CANNOT stop looking at! Enjoy!
  21. Of course, more details and pix to come in the next day or so. I'm heading out the door right now -guess what I'll be wearing .
  22. Thursday revisited. Well this little gem just arrived today and of course I had to try it on. Here's a really quick shot of something slightly off the beaten path -Tudor 7031/0 Monte Carlo
