  1. Great idea BT, here's my newest addition to my collection, a Gilt Explorer dial 5513.
  2. Thanks for all the kind words gents! I have narrow tastes -what can I say. Mezz, I know what you mean. I certainly didn't plan on having so many sub styles. The explorer dial 5513 was a what the hell I have an MBK case I spent all this time modding and its just sitting in the parts box, do something with it.... Collections do take funny turns at times. Gen 1675's aren't much of a reasonable value any longer I've noticed over the last 6-9 months, they're all selling for 5513 prices as well. Now some of the transitional 16750 are still decent buys.
  3. Seems like your off to a great start UJ, keep us up to date on your progress.
  4. Yes there's always a blacksheep in every family Thanks!
  5. Another quick pix I snapped of the Rolex family. I ticked another project off the list; a 5513 with gilt 369 (explorer dial) built from mostly spare parts. Had to throw in the budget Silix 1675 for balance -its still a work in progress and has the incorrect dial I know And the other side of the family. The 201A was just updated with the new rev DSN dial.
  6. Feeling a little gilty today -Boy, I just suck at taking wrist shots!

  8. Mez, stick with the flat top IMHO and put a clarks superdome on you new DRSD
  9. SWEET, it's great to see them all together Stephane!
  10. A classic Ubi, simple and understated! -thanks for sharing
  11. Here's an old buddy that hasn't seen the wrist in a while.
  12. I'm in for one but the one in Dr. No isn't a G10/NATO strap -just a flat strap (something like the one in the attachment). It would be great to have it without the extra piece under the watch head.
  13. A PAM Weekend. Have a nice holiday everyone! Yesterday Today
  14. Gen 1680 dials are a hair too big for an MBK 1680 case, you have to trim down the dial or mill out the groove the dial sits in to make it fit. The MBK 1860 is based upon a 5513 case which takes a 26mm dial.
  15. I'm interested for sure. ETA's are doable in these cases but you do have to be careful not to break a stem due to the alignment issue.
  16. Exciting news vintage sub fans! I spoke to Gary Clark (of Clark Watch Parts) and he has a Tropic 19 Superdome in production that's copied from a gen. I'm sure if it's as good as his T39 he'll be selling a boat load of these. He said to expect them in about a month and might retail for ~$20.
