  1. I'd have to agree with Kruzer00 on that Patek... overall size of 58mm? That seems a bit HUGE for a vintage watch... about the right size for a pocket watch though. The rolex I don't even want to discuss... that thing is horrible. Not the worst rep I've ever seen... but its just f'n ugly. Even if it were a gen, its still horrible and an affront to human eyes.
  2. I caught that article... did anyone else notice how far out the Pam was from holding correct time?.... averaging +5.2 sec with chrono off.. +8 dial up, +6 dial down, +5 crown up, +4 crown down, +5 crown left, +3 crown right....Yeesh... If i were to buy a watch of this price range and it ran +8 sec in ANY position I'd be sending it in for service. Mebee I've just been spoiled with my reps though... my farthest out watch runs +4 sec face down and pretty much smack on (1 sec and change mebee) in any other orientation.
  3. That ones coming close to getting my vote for worst rep ever... I do like the case back however... It has that Trailer-park-princess type quality that just begs to be abused. Has Pam ever actually marketed a Tourbillion watch? I'm no Pam WIS so I honestly don't know. I do love the Tourbillion look... but not on that watch.
  4. Where the heck did he stuff the extra 2 jewels into the movement anyhow? And how did that smooth out the sweep problem... that damn 1 tick per second thing my ETA is doing is horrible... Oh wait. Nevermind. That ones quartz.
  5. Well you know... after a while she got annoying.... she kept putting the toliet seat down... damn stockings and bras all over the bathroom... used my razor on her legs. I mean... a man can only put up with so much. Right? I was forced to move onto greener pastures... and I mean yeesh.. just watch the video again... she's gained SO much weight since we used to be a "thing".
  6. Hrm.. I'd been pondering acquiring a replica of the newish Oakley E-wire (i think thats the name).... maybe I'll just retire my half-jackets (many many dings and scratches due to daily hard use in my job) and get a new pair. 80$ with the bulk purchase discount... god bless guv'ment sales departments.
  7. Keep us posted on that Regulateur there drop... Its wonderful to see people interested in my personal favorite brand of watches (Gen and the reps)
  8. Interesting to say the least.... why did you choose General Discussion though?
  9. True story TwoTone? Yeesh... it takes some cajones to share that experience with us.
  10. 1. 16610 Sub (would bet it's the most common one for all of repdom) 2. Andrew (came dang close to trying a scam site... prior to finding these boards) 3. Yep. Getting ready to mod a bit... but its a daily wear beater.
  11. Yeesh man... from those pics that ain't cycling weather... thats drinking weather. Indoors. On the Couch. With Scotch. But then again I was born in South Florida and only live a little above the mason dixon now...
  12. Sweetness... a free year. Lets rock another lotto here fellows... I'm in again. I need some dang tools.. or more watches... or something. And I'm in if the proceeds support the board.
  13. @ Slay. As a long time rider I feel for you. Losing a friend is hard. @ www... A bit on the insensitive side there mate. I've been riding motorcycles for the past 19 years. I wrecked a few times in my first year, nothing too major. These days I rumble along on my 1971 FLH with some of the loudest pipes I've ever heard. (I'm a firm believer that my loud pipes have saved my life more than once) I have a 1979 Honda 750SS that is fun to ride near the limit on a track... on the street never. Other drivers are too damn dangerous. Yes, riding is more dangerous than driving my truck, but its the other drivers that are the danger, not me. Either way my man, I'm sorry for your loss. To all the riders on this board, ride safe, ride often.
  14. Yeesh... to me just one more technical toy I don't need or want... I'd rather have a nice automatic movement over an LCD quartz movement anyday anyhow. When my phone rings I take it out of my pocket and read it and decide wether or not to answer... I have a bluetooth earpiece that i used one day and put back in the box. I hate that thing. my .02cents
  15. Look at the photos of the Ferarri Pam caseback again... The watch is also made from "Stainless Stee"
  16. Come on you cheap b@st@rds.... only 60 more tickets to go until I can sweep the winnings of this auction... pony up.
  17. It almost looks gen... where does one source the screws/sleeves for attaching the wriststrap to this masterful Pam rep?
  18. @ Admin... same trouble here mate... Got my paypal receipt... no confirm from RWG though... and I'm gonna need that confirm for when I sweep the prizes.
  19. Just curious Linder where you got this info... From the revised code of my home state... 2913.32 ORC, Trademark Counterfeiting states that Posession is also illegal (as well as selling, transporting and manufacturing). Seizure of the fakes can only be done by members of Law Enforcement though...so if an AD or watchmaker attempted to "seize the fakes" they would be commiting a theft offence. Now I can pretty much guarentee that law enforcement *for the most part* has better things to do with their time *cough, doughnuts, cough* than mess with your wristwatches.
  20. Hrm... ask a male and it's 2.5x at least. Ask their girlfriend / wife and it's 2x on a good day.
  21. UM... what? Someone needs to do a bit of research on their products. And damnit... Port burns as it comes out your nose.
  22. I second Shimside11's vote of the Overseas... I've got a 1st gen of that watch that I love... I'm currently shopping for a 2nd gen. The cross does seem to be a 'bit' smallish on the newer gen... but it is a beautiful watch and its remarkably close to the gens.
  23. I bought the 88$ version just for something to take apart and such... I've never had an auto I've been willing to destroy for the sake of learning. Shortly I will.
  24. In for 4 tickets.... come on lady luck, don't kick me in the nuts again.
  25. Look at the pictures on the dealers site... Perfectclone shows the caseback. All the Ferrari reps have a couple of glaring errors: "Stainless Stee" and "EnginoYod" are on all the case backs. The non-working chrono's are another concern (on the chrono versions, obviously). I know I've seen the caseback photos on this and other forums, I'm about 90% certain that other sellers are also showing the caseback photos on their own sites... Perfectclone is the only one i've looked at today though, so thats my example. I ordered the 88$shipped one yesterday... For the price I'll take the errors. I don't expect an exact rep of the Pam Limited Run GEN... but I do expect a decent watch. The watch itself is however coming from a trusted seller, who has sold many a Pam rep... I have pretty good expectations of this limited edition rep.
