I've seen some old DJ with a 1570 movement go for around $1000....you can use the movement in a 1680 build, or some other vintage Sub build......only thing is you may probably have to spend $300 to service and oil the movement...just to be on the safe side... selling off the other parts may take some time...case set, dial, hands, and bracelet

what would be the fun in buying a Gen and be done with it? ....there are many masochists around here...it's the journey, not the destination that is fun sure, you can source a 1575 GMT movement out of a 1675 GMT master, in order to build a rarer 1655.......I can justify that....I can spend the $3K in parts....as opposed to spending the $12 to $15K that the real thing costs. but, I'm not sure that I would buy a whole GEN watches and then part it out....unless that GEN was so much cheaper than the sum of its parts.

LOL....too late...Rolex already makes watches with "meteorite" dials....they bought and actual meteorite and cut it into dials.

who sells these? I'm assuming the standard REP hand set cannot be modded or broached to fit a GEN 3135 movement? Thanks in advance!

I have handled one...GP is one of the most under appreciated brands out there...they are one of the last remaining true everything in-house watchmakers. That seahawk is very nice...about the same size as a PAM 44mm...and about as thick....it's a rugge watch and the rubberized band with the Ti butterfly clasp is one of the best and softest rubbers only second to UN Rubber bands. The crown position is signature GP, and the dial has large lumed markers. The Ti makes this large watch lighter, of course. One caveat...since GP is an exclusive movement....prepare to shell out some big bucks whenever you decide to have the watch serviced or cleaned.

I'm not sure that folded bracelet is correct with the 7836 stamping? Maybe the jubilee bracelet is Ok...but, most of the GEN 1655 I'm seeing have the solid bracelet.

LOL....jeeeeezz....gotta love the S/N on the '63' the man definitely has hit a "quality hump"........if he would only improve his quality similar to what Little Hero puts out with movements, dials and CG....and at a lower price than LH....that would be something.......we all know he has the machinery to do it.

Also: 1. the fish is too fat on the caseback 2. the two dots on the caseback are not equally spaced to the texted 3. WOULD IT KILL DSN....to make a longer Case Tube...so the Crown stands off the case by 1mm?

date wheel probably suffering from depression on the caseback: the "fish" looks like a grouper....and the two dots, before "Officine" and "Panerai"...are not evenly spaced from the text. hands and dial gonna need some matte spray blasting

Mary does not have the "580" endlinks nor the 7836 bracelet.........any other bracelets that are compatible with 1655?

I'm confused now...so that WO Auto Cystal won't work on either DSN or Cartel PAMs........jeez.......I remember someone was working on getting a batch of "ultimate-style" crystals made.............

Sorry for the necropost....but WO does not have the 580 endlinks..... who is the latest source for correct 1655 bracelet ("580" or "380" end link with 78360 or 7836 bracelet stamp)?

heck...while you're CAD'ing the Gen CG....may as well get the Gen Case CAD'ed.....wishful thinking...then flip the watch back on Ebay.

the V1 is just as good....I have a Taka V1 datewheel available for sale on RG, sorry I have not listed it here yet...new and never used....actually I have 3...but selling 1.....they are great and bold numbers...better font than the Leo DW I have Taka DW is printed on top of actual ETA 7750 DW
