  1. maybe 2824 or 2892 with dubois depraz chrono module?....the 2824 w/DD chrono can be found on early Gevril chronos
  2. if you bought a Crown/tube for a 1675, it will be a 5mm crown...and it will not fit on the 1655 case, and you will not want to use it because the crown guard area is machined to accommodate the large 6mm crown/tube...the smaller 5mm crown will look small in that crown guard area....so, 1675 crown/tube will not work on the 1655 case...you will have to stay with the existing crown/tube that came with the 1655 case
  3. the original 1675 has the smaller 5mm crown compared to the 1655 which has the larger 6mm crown......since you are using a 1655 case, you are going to have to stick with that 6mm crown/tube on that case....just to make your life easier.
  4. Lazy Sunday just before the Superbowl...I grabbed the old Rolex 6084 from the sock drawer and decided to take some crappy a$ photos (I was too lazy to set up the light box) Hope you guys enjoy....and feel free to comment on this piece.
  5. damn...looks nice.....what case accepted the GEN crystal? Also, where did you source the GEN hands?
  6. as Donerix said, the 2nd & 3rd street area for miami beach locals....you can always head away from the tourist areas and go to where the Miami locals go....right now....Mary Brickell Village area(many restaurants and lounges) and Coral Gables you can go to Hillstone's or Ruth Chris Steakhouse...lots of nice restaurants in those two nice areas....depends on your budget....nothing closes early...places on the beach open until 5am, and there are after-parties until morning and noon the next day, if you can find them
  7. LOL....i seen that the other day on a listing....Hyperfranken? Franken is a franken....there are no degrees
  8. Chinese New Year....these won't be shipping out or arriving until late February.....keep in mind, though these dealers take your money now.
  9. if you do a 16622 (YM)...like WM9 BK....you have to think about where to get a set of GEN YM hands for the 3135....that YM takes the Maxi Fat hands, and red Seconds hand
  10. unfortunately I have the old version....email him and ask...though I doubt it since the 207a is not a huge seller for him to be upgrading it.
  11. Remember....before FGD and Helenarou put out their Pre-V hand sets.....DSN was selling what he called "Pre-V" hands....which is probably the hand sets that is pictured about.....so I don't think the original seller was disingenuous about selling them as Pre-V. I had order a Pre-V set from DSN last year and that's what I received......with FGD and Helenarou editions now DSN's can be argued as not Pre-V
  12. Wouldn't gold be maintained artificially high, just like oil...by the monopolies that mine it.....if the price too low (gold/oil)....then the big dogs slow down production....until they reach a production level that just barely satisfies market demand...couple that will increase use of gold in technology products.....then you let speculators cause their usual chaos......not to mention a large country like China stepping in to pull Gold/Oil out of the market and hoarding it....causing scarcity and fear in the market........diamonds are a great example of a product that is maintained artificially high...for decades and decades.
  13. probably EMS Post number?.....try entering the number here: http://www.ems.com.cn/english-main.jsp
  14. I thought Zig was backed up and was not taking on new customers? ...or am I thinking of some other watch guy?
  15. well.....I call up one of my local AD's (only 2 in the city)....told them my old man's GMT Master has been lying around for years since the bracelet broke.....I can't find the bracelet and only have the watch-head.....I'll take it next Monday so they can look at it. what did concern me was that she said they will try to see if ROlex still has the original bracelet and markings that belong to the 1675.......which would be kinda sad if they did not have the 78360 with the 580 Endlinks.....I hope they don't try to pass off some other bracelet??? She could not quote me a price on the bracelet....and obviously they want you in there to go over the watch and sell you their overhaul and maintenance Let's see how this turns out....I'll keep you guys posted next week
  16. just to be sure...the Rolex AD's are >only< the ones listed on Rolex's website?...I know they pulled their parts account status from 3rd party watch repair shops...so only AD's and service centers can source parts?
  17. maybe if I take them in the 1675 with the GEN 78360 and some REP 555b endlinks, they will install a whole new GEN 78360 with 580 endlinks?...if they say the endlinks are not GEN, I'll act ignorant and blame it on some 3rd party service guys must have switched the ELs. think this would work...do I need to bring in the whole watch or just the bracelet?
  18. Thanks for the info. and compare shots.......I never had a REP one to compare against It's difficult to find a GEN 78360 with 580's....usually they are are old, stretched and beat to hell.
  19. Ha....that's great, another reason I have stopped myself from buying a supposed "GEN" 78360 bracelet on Ebay..... UBi.....if you look at both GEN and REP final links from the side....are they both similar.....the GEN final link being a crimped hollow link....possibly the final link on the REP is differently formed?
  20. Got it........yes....also, I would further verify when purchasing a GEN that the "78360" stamping you should see it on the two lug links and on the inside of the clasp.....and recently I understand the some of the Vietnamese sellers of these bracelets are grinding down the stamping on the endlinks and restamping with "580" But also notice that another GEN tell is the last link...the small crimped link that inserts into to the endlink....it is crimped.....the REP bracelet will have a solid flat link, like the other links. anyhow...."78360" should appear on two solid links and on the inside clasp...underneath the "STEELINOX" stamping...like this example....also, this is a non-fliplock clasp
