Care to expound on that thought? -

With which inserts can you use the Ofrei pearl? The hole is too big on most of the inserts. Does the Wholesaleoutlet990 work?

I am not being lazy! Did a couple of searches and did not come up with the part numbers. Is the a straight forward mod? Meaning, does the new tube just screw in or does in need to hole need to be re-tapped or do you glue the new tube in? Thanks. Marty

Is anyone interested in meeting for drinks at Cyldes in Columbia, MD the weekend of 2/29? It is about half way between Baltimore and Washington. Thanks! Marty

You are correct. New Clark crystal (which is very nice), same insert filed down to sit better in the bezel and acrylic pearl installed. CG's modded and case edges smoothed, case back aged, gen crown and tube. Lugs drilled and gen spring bars installed. The only thing I need to finish it off is a better bracelet. I want to do another one, maybe a 5513, with much more wear to the watch. Any volunteers out there??

I would try "novelty wrist watch with no commercial value." Marty

Now that I am single I no longer wear a ring. I was thinking looking for one in titanium, SS or white gold that would match my watches (I do not wear gold watches). The main character, "Bud", in the movie The Abyss had a neat titanium ring, but that a wedding band. First, you guys wear rings other than their, high school, college or wedding rings? If you do, show my what ya got! Thanks. Marty

I bought an old rock tumbler (for polishing rocks) off of the bay. I put in a combination of rocks, some sand and a few nuts and bolts ... it works great. I would keep an old crystal on the watch and protect the crown before tumbling. It works wonders on case and saves wear and tear on your dryer http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-ROTARY-ROCK-TUMBLE...1QQcmdZViewItem

I agree, but the strap/clasp is much more comfortable that the HBB strap/clasp. It would have been nice if they could have built some type of fine adjust into the clasp, but that would have made it too wide. I like to wear my straps on the loose side, so it is not a big deal to me. I left a lot of room for my wrist to expand when the warm weather finally comes. Even so, the watch still sits perfectly on my wrist and does not slide around. For anyone sizing this strap, I would opt for a looser fit. Marty

Not really ... but what a great watch! The watch is flawless. I was worried about the date alignment, but as everyone has reported so far, it is perfect. This is a very cool watch. Thanks Joshua for a smooth transaction
