Good eye Gimme. Since joining this forum I've tried to determine more and more watches that I see on TV and in movies. It's tough to do, but you nailed this one.
For sure, maxman! I nearly bought the gen a year ago, but decided to keep my money in my pocket. I'm just as happy with the rep, plus I don't have to worry as much about damaging it. I'm forcing myself to wait until October to order another. Pics will be posted.
Hi everyone, I just joined this community last month and bought by first rep, a Cartier Tank Francaise from Josh. Stainless steel case with two-tone bracelet and Swiss ETA.
Definitely liking the FM Casablanca Chrono. I've heard that on other FM models that they have a tendency to goof up the number fonts, particularly the 1's. Probably best to get a pic of the rep before you buy it.
I was always a huge fan of the Cartier tank watches. Now that I'm looking at more and more manufacturers and models I'm liking the Rotonde de Cartier skeleton.
I have to applaud Zenith for a bold design, but it just looks too convoluted to justify a $7000 pricetag. It would have been cool to see them continue this line with more bold designs each year. Maybe after a few tries they'd find the right formula and really give us something to save up for.
Some of these are ugly enough to be real designs. As disgusting as they are, I'm actually liking the skeleton Rollies. I'd love to wear something like that to a millionaire yacht club outing just for the priceless reactions.
I liked this watch just for the unique face - I had no idea about the jump movement. This watch just jumped up on my wish list.
1. VC Malte Classiqe white gold
2. JLC Reverso Skeleton
3. FM Crazy Hours (black face, colored numbers)
4. Panerai 112
I'm an engineer and quite proficient with many calculators. I've never been very interested in Breitlings because I thought they were too flashy. Now that I understand how useful they are I'm looking at them in a completely different light. I doubt I would ever use the slide rule function on a watch, but it's cool to know that I could if I was ever in a pinch. The sad thing is that nowadays I'm sure most Breitling owners have no idea about the slide rule capability of their timepieces.
