  1. Cool trick Nanuq I'm gonna try that.
  2. I'm waiting to see of watcher's gen crystals gonna fit...that would count me in. I love my SSD...but for that tiny creepy little laser coronet staring at me.
  3. This forum has the most knowledge on vintage Rolex. I'm always amazed at the wealth of information that's so freely given. So many here have already "gone where no man has gone before" I have a few very nice builds that could not have happened without the help here. As to the Daytona, it's an expert build. Not for the newer guys. Even having alot of money to pour into it is not everything. Like valty said, it's best to buy books and read everything you can..just so you can learn to tell the gen parts from aftermarket. This is why I don't have a Daytona... Yet
  4. Have a look here http://stores.ebay.com/FASCI-STAINLESS-STEEL-WATCH-GEAR/Pins-with-Tubes-/_i.html?_fsub=8638037
  5. Something like 20mm "pins & tubes"
  6. I bought several things from him, all gen and all have checked out. Wouldn't surpise me to find out family and other people involved.
  7. There's a few sellers on eBay that sell them too.
  8. No, I think rosnik is saying he meant 16610 the whole time.
  9. Yeah I have no idea what that whole mess means
  10. Looks pretty good to me, this is not the first release
  11. What High said, I've never seen one other than the modded bracelets on TRF. I think the 14060 is the only sports range Rolex makes with lugholes now.
  12. Sapphire Sub today
  13. Thanks Hmmmm..when this was released everyone jumped all over it and picked out the flaws..good to know it would work for a base.
  14. There are no great vintage sea dwellers out there really, they all have flaws. The longer your around here and the more you learn about vintage Rolex the less happy you will be with basic offerings. Many here buy the best case sets and add genuine parts and do mods to the cases to get a nice watch. The standard cartel like josh sells is ok and a pretty good deal for the money. The downsides, not a great dial, non gen bezel construction and a poor crystal compared to gen. The basic case is not worth adding gen parts to...although I did just that. Eventually I bought a better case set(MBW)and swapped all my parts over. You could get a complete MBW watch from certain dealers and have to build on..but out of your price range and not easy to source. I would advise you to stick around and read these forums while before you jump and buy something. Welcome to the forum! My 1665 Seadweller This started as a josh watch, but moved to an MBW with lots of genuine parts.
  15. Thats my favorite dial, grey stick with fluted bezel.
