That's a nice write up Mike, but let's make the photo a little more accurate. That photo is the Cordova street hill during the ceremonial start of Iditarod. It's fun but that's not how dog races look.
Here are some photos of the World Championship sled dog races here in town. THIS is racing! Unbelievable power in these dogs.
Today is the ceremonial start of Iditarod 2015, they'll do the start here then drive 400 miles to Fairbanks tonight, for the official start in the morning. Go dogs gooooooo!! http://iditarod.com/race/2015/mushers/
Yeah! That's the ultra rare concentric date complication Rolex used for a very short time in the early 60s, there are two date discs side by side, each half the width of the usual disc. In this case it's showing March 3rd.
Legend, I'm lucky because this watch is still all original from the early 70s and it has the brushed silver date wheel with the flat top 3s. They're just sexy and iconic from that era of early Rolex... and impossible to photograph so they don't look white.
I've never heard a better description for why RWG exists. That was spectacularly well said.
We few, we happy few. We band of brothers.
Well done, gentlemen.
How many (mythical) blonde female forum members does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Just one... she holds the bulb and the world revolves around her.
