  1. Arrrrggggghhhhhhh there's 3 minutes of my life I'll never get back. If I had to perform that song more than one time I'd rather pull my fingernails out with pliers. Nice guitar though!
  2. Welcome aboard! Advice: mail your credit cards to yourself 4th class mail so they're gone a month.
  3. What a night! I worked stadium security for awhile and got to see some big name bands up close. For the most part they were just LOUD. Some left your mouth hanging open. Luckily I never got to experience a riot!
  4. Hey cc, my unsolicited advice? Leave it installed and use it / enjoy it. That's what it's for. It will get even better with use. I mounted gen vintage Superdome T39s on two of my daily wearers. I paid $350 each, four or five years ago. Yeah they get scratched, but I get to see them every day. It's worth it.
  5. No, your price is NOT 5k Eur. You are not approved for "high value sales" here. Please read our forum rules. If you persist in offering this for sale I will suspend your account.
  6. I know MD is out of town for a funeral. I wished him well; he'll be back soon.
  7. If the manufacturers got every detail right, we'd buy one each and be done with it. Sad truth of the matter is, every time they make a tiny improvement (and inexorably take a step back on another detail) they sell a boatload of these bands to us. There's zero incentive for them to produce a perfect aftermarket piece.
  8. I'm surprised Mike Wood didn't mention the misspelled "Cronograph". I had one of these for awhile, very similar to this one. It had rust stains on the dial beneath where the hour hand had sat for many years (broken). It was a steel case, similar era, with stereo lug holes, and correctly spelled "chronograph". Sorta makes it easy to spot a "franken".
  9. The mighty RWG Scammer Team leaps into action!
  10. Here's the same movement and case listed for sale as a "project watch". http://wis-market.com/detail.php?id=491217
  11. It's there on the Internet Wayback Machine. Here's a screen from 2003 http://web.archive.org/web/20030124023852/http://www.replicacollector.com/
  12. What tipped you off? Was it the missing "H" in "Chronograph"?
  13. Exactly. Is, and always will be.
  14. DING DING DING!!! You da MAN. Nicely played.
  15. Okay old-timers, who can tell me who used this avitar on TRC and then on the original RWG?
  16. Can you explain to me why this watch is listed as "fake gold" and "FOLEX" on WatchProSite? http://market.watchprosite.com/?page=photo.raw.forum&msid=23287503&imgid=2751933&fi=712&pi=5248388&ti=784463&s=0&size=raw
  17. How about Black Queen by Stills? The man has chops.
  18. I listened to "London Calling" all day at work. Tomorrow: Candy-O
  19. We sing about this around campfires
  20. Speaking of the Stones being horrible, back in the mid 70s my buddy Joe was at a Stones concert and it was one of those "off" nights when nothing can go right, and after awhile the audience started to make fun of them. So Jagger walks up to the mic and says "if anyone in the house thinks they can do better, come on up" and they started into the next song. Pretty soon there was a bit of a commotion and the audience parted to let someone move up to the stage. This guy in jeans and a denim jacket gets past security and jumps up on middle stage right in front of the audience. Jagger looks, and does the worlds biggest facepalm. Mr. Denim walks over to the microphone and says "Good evening....... I'm Eric Clapton" Of course the audience went CRAZY, and Clapton joined in... and Joe said it turned into a flat awesome concert after that.
  21. Have you heard Clapton's album "Me and Mister Johnson"? It's a keeper. Next up: listen to Hendrix and Buddy Guy play "Red House" back to back. Ooooooooh baby!
  22. Best album I've heard in six months? Look for a copy of "Anybody got a Les Paul?" live by Led Zeppelin, while they were still unknown.
  23. Well said. You want to really rock your musical world? Check out Robert Johnson. He influenced everybody. Recorded from a 78rpm LP, the Kind hearted woman blues. http://archive.org/download/RobertJohnsonMp3AudioSongs/robertjohnson-KindheartedWomanBlues.mp3
