Niiiiiiiiiiice. I wonder if you could encourage the dial to fade to chocolate? Heat lamp action?
My MBW spent some time in godforsaken Oklahoma, in incredible heat, and it took on a tropical tint.
Okay I'll try to behave.
I've seen one from 1971 that's gone chocolate brown and the indices are pure white from tons of time in the sun. Its red lettering hasn't faded though.
Maybe the red that fades on some was painted on afterward?
Usually there's a tiny screw or pushbutton on the movement right where the stem is inserted. Read the tutorials here, it is remarkably easy to booger it up.
Ask me how I know......
Jetmid? He doesn't get a circle. He's so dense he collapsed into a gravitational black hole, a pinpoint. How do I know?
1). We've never actually seen him,
2). Only his thoughts have ever escaped here, because they lack substance. There's never been any actual physical evidence.
(hat tip to Dilbert!)
Archie, what more can I add? These good people have said a lot, all I can do is agree with them.
One thing that bears repeating is when life gets hard it's normal to want to isolate yourself. But that's the worst thing to do, because your friends keep you grounded, and keep your perspective. From that grounded perspective is where you're the strongest.
So stick around, eh? You're part of us here.
There IS no Eleventh Circle. This is something of which we must never speak.
If the Eleventh Circle did truly exist, then because 11 is 3 binary, it would contain three members:
Neo, Omni and ExtraExtra.
13th Circle:
You sometimes store your watches crown-up to help them "lose rather more seconds" at night. You know this of course because you've memorized every Rolex pamphlet ever published.
But you lie in bed thinking about the uneven wear your movement jewels receive as they run at an angle.
And you mentally devise a schedule to rotate the jewels in your movements, to compensate.
I scanned these photos from very high resolution photographic slides, and you can see the poor overall quality. It's a shame really, this was a spectacular trip in the high arctic.

The low-cost alternative to a gen 702 is the lowly MBW triplock crown. It has enough wall thickness that you can chuck It up in a lathe or drill, and use tools to carve a bevel on the case side.
It's yoogly, but it's also cool in a Warhol kinda way.
Oops.
Fear not, there are millions of o-ring options out there. Find a nice thick fattie and cram it in there between your alleged case and 702 tube, use some Loctite Blue and Robert's your uncle.
I did that with a Phong case that was drilled for a 703 tube and it worked fine. I've been diving to 3 atms for years with it and no leaks.
