I think it looks pretty good actually. I think i'm going to try and source a better quality gator strap for it - maybe i can even get the chopard deployant to work with something.

re my post above, i may have got the numbers wrong - can't find the email now he sent me. Suffice to say, he had a swiss movement option.

as an fyi, i got my GTXL from Timeswiss, paid $112. He offered me a version with the ETA 2824 for $100 more, but I declined - but it is available.

I pick based on either what i'm wearing, or what mood i'm in. Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason at all, i just pick something out of the watch case and go!

Who cares what a bunch of us losers on an internet forum think? If YOU like it, BUY it. I personally think it's a bit extreme for for what I'd wear, but I do actually like it...in fact I like it more than the Zenith. Let us know what you decide.

it's an MF WWII strap that M3Vert aged himself. I think he did an excellent job - he told me what he did, I'm thinking of buying a 24/24 strap for my 44mm pams and aging it like he did.

Yes. I picked that up after seeing someone else put their strap on like that here. I find it easier to get on/off that way. Can't tell a difference when it's on your wrist.

Patience is the order with EL lately. I know a friend of mine here ordered the same watch and it took quite a bit of time...he got an email from EL saying the first watch shipped was 'confirmed confiscated' and sent another, which he finally got last week, but I think his total wait time was around 3 weeks plus or minus a few days.
