  1. lol. Damn americans and their guns!
  2. I was shooting pictures to list a forsale thread and decided to throw in my .45
  3. Excellent news, glad to see you're home and getting better Ken
  4. Does anyone have an address to the hospital and his room? We could put together a card to send him.
  5. Unfortunately all the pictures are blocked at my work, but the text is hilarious
  6. Beautiful watch there phoband I'm very jealous. I'm going to have to start looking into one of these non-branded tourbys too.
  7. Welcome to the forum, and great story
  8. More expensive than Cartier? I'd have to do some research but those watches ain't exactly cheap either. THis company is about 19 months old. I'm not a businessman or a watchmaker, but I imagine you can't just start a watch company, immediately have in house movements, and world circling name recognition. The watches all have ETA Automatic movements. I've looked all the models in person and they are all high quality watches. True, they may be a bit pricey but apparently they are selling because the prices of the watches actually go up as their stock decreases and people are still buying them. Not to mention part of that cost goes to charity. Does christopher ward donate his profits to charity? If you don't like them, fine - i'm not the fashion police - but I'd like to think that you'd actually take the time to look at the watches and actually read the website before trashing them with a blanket statement.
  9. Yeah, I love the watches but even knowing that a part of the sale goes to charity, it's kind of a steep price to pay for an ETA movement based watch. That's why I'm going to wait for them to finish their in-house movement.
  10. I fixed it after your post
  11. lol, i didn't even realize that it wasn't an active link.
  12. I can't believe this didn't get any replies. Guess that'll teach me to take pics next time
  13. wow, thread back from the dead. At least i'm home now I guess that it's a combo of possibly needing a quality service, and maybe the way the rotor was designed? The tolerances may not be as good as some higher quality movements so it makes more noise? I guess this is a quesion for The Zigmeister if he's reading. At any rate, a $200 service for this watch is not the route I'm going to go. I love the watch, but I'm not paying more for service than I paid for it.
  14. Oh man, so sorry to hear this. Get well soon Ken!
  15. Great review and pics. Which dealer did you purchase from?
  16. Hey, i notice that the second hand counter on your 008 doesn't look to reset to 0, mine does this too. Did it set to 0 when you got it?
  17. Pistol range, not driving range Come to think of it, the times i've gone to the driving range i've been wearing my Link or the LV Sub so I haven't had any issues with my chrono movements - but now i know not to subject them to golf either.
  18. LOL @ butch lesbian police officer I've worn my LV Sub, PAM 005, and gen Tag Link to the range, all had no issues at all. My guess is that the only movements that may possibly have issues would be a chrono movement.
  19. I stopped at the pistol range on the way home today - wearing my Ferrari Pam chrono. I only shot about 100 rounds. On the drive home, I noticed that the minute hand counter on the chrono was pointing to 19 minutes. And now it won't reset. Fun. Guess it didn't like the weaver stance.
  20. Wearing the Panerai Ferrari Chrono today on Toscana CF strap - no current shots of the watch on this strap unfortunately
  21. Just back from The Zigmeister, gonna be wearing this all week probably, although I swapped out the rubber deployant for a gator strap last night
  22. i also just realized i somehow posted this in the repair/upgrade forum. I guess this counts as 'upgrade' oh well
  23. lol, glad you like the pic, I just picked that .45 up actually and I thought the Pam would go with it well. AFAIK, there haven't been any gun/watch pic threads.
  24. dear god that's amazing work, i'm most impressed at how you kept the squares...square!
  25. I sent my pre-owned pam 005 i bought for $80 to The Zigmeister for some work and just got it back. slai had given me a superlumed dial which i was going to have installed, but The Zigmeister called me and told me it was basically rubbish and just called it even and superlumed my existing dial then did the service and canon pin fix. Probably more than I should have spent on an $80 watch, but oh well. Anyway, thanks again The Zigmeister, you do excellent work!
