  1. Well, it's almost weekend wrist-check now, but here's what i wore today - had to take a new picture because I realized all my pictures of this watch were before service/lume/canon pin fix
  2. lol "email? what email? I don't remember any email" best part about that hack is the wallpaper changes every 15 seconds to another picture There are about 90 in rotation.
  3. My favorite app wasn't really an app - it was jailbreaking it
  4. Getting very excited. The Pilot strap is complete now - he just sent me these pics
  5. This would get my vote as well, what a beautiful piece. I haven't decided which yet, but my next gen will definitely be an IWC.
  6. Ok, he's fine with the referrals. Mods if this is against some kind of rules or something please let me know and i'll delete this. http://flickr.com/photos/gorilla-straps/ Is his flickr site. This is the text of the email he just sent me: ...there are a few shots where straps are numbered. Those are all (with the exception of #1) $43 shipped to the con US w/o buckle. Add $20 for a screw in buckle (found a better vendor and the price went back down from the temp raise). #1 is made from a French Ammo Bag that required a shitload of work to extract and condition the leather prior to making. That one is $63 shipped to the con US w/o buckle. If they want something custom made, that starts at $63 shipped w/o a buckle. bo AT artofbo DOT com
  7. he's currently charging $63 for custom straps shipped in the states w/o a buckle. His premade straps are $43 shiped in the states w/o a buckle. If you want a buckle too they are $25 for Pre-V and deployants. I'm sure he'd ship to the UK and Europe, but I don't know what his rates for that are. He's just starting out actually so I'll ask him if he minds me pushing out his contact info here before giving it out - I don't want him to get overwhelmed with orders and not be able to fill them all!
  8. he just sent me a couple of new pics. He's just waiting on the buckle to arrive then he'll send it out to me
  9. Wow. Even though I don't own a Ferrari, that's the first Panerai that I would seriously consider owning a gen of. That is beautiful.
  10. Bored and took a new wristshot pic when i got home
  11. Friend of mine has gotten into making straps, so when i got my new IWC BP, i asked him to make me two. one is going to be a traditional pilot style strap, but the other is going to be a mix of a panerai style and pilot. He dubbed it a "Paviator" Anyway, he sent me this pic today, it's kind of small, but I'm really excited to get it. He's still working on the pilot style strap. I'll post pictures of them on the watch once i get them both.
  12. Still got the Big Pilot on. crappy iphone pic at my desk
  13. Still wearing my newest acquisition. Will have new pics once I get my new straps, so for now I'm still using the crappy rep strap
  14. Thanks vlydog I'll post more pictures once i get my straps from my friend.
  15. Took some time off from reps for a while after i got my 3717 back in the spring - which i'm still having issues with but that's another story. Anyway, I needed to order a new bracelet for the wife's FM Conquistador and ended up getting her a whole new watch instead as well as adding on a Big Pilot for myself. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of the watch. I have a friend making me a couple of straps for it since the rep strap is garbage. Shot with my cheap 50mm nikkor lens with no flash and a little lightroom on the backend.
  16. been MIA from the board for a while, I took this picture yesterday while running grain truck for friends on their farm in Montana while on 'vacation'
  17. the thread of the screws holds fine - the thing is the screws don't seem to be long enough to hold the strap posts inside the case with any authority.
  18. sooooo..i should be breaking out JB weld then? Or Loc-Tite? no one has has this problem before?
  19. So i picked up a PAM 204 for the wife but she didnt' like the rep strap very much. She latched on to an OF strap i had for the 005 so I decided to let her have it. No biggie right? Wrong i cannot for the love of all that is holy get these damn posts to tighten up after changing the strap. Is there some trick that I am painfully unaware of? Do i need to glue the bastards in? These little damn screws are not deep enough to actually hold the strap posts in place! WTF. Someone please guide me in the right direction before i break out some JB Weld.
  20. \I think the calculator watch fits charlie perfectly. As for colby, i have no idea what that is
  21. Very Cool. Around what year was this made?
  22. Will be wearing this until the new dial arrives and it heads out to K2222 for double AR and date wheels
  23. Wow, thanks That's one of the reasons i wanted this lens, the low stop gives a very narrow depth of field so you can get cool shots like this.
  24. Just got this 3717 yesterday - new dial en route from Josh because the markers are fubbed up on this one but otherwise i love it. Strap is Gator from TWB on IWC Deployant. I also recently got a 50mm f/1.8 Nikkor for my D70s so i decided to give it a go on the IWC. Still learning how to take proper pics, so any input is appreciated. I don't have a proper flash yet so I try not to use it at all- the downside is i have to use higher ISO sometimes so these are a little grainy.
  25. Got a quick reply from Josh, he's sending me a new IWC dial and replacing the Pam 204
