  1. Well, I emailed my dealer about the dial and exchanging the PAM, I'm sure he'll do me right I've been wearing the 3717 tonight on the NATO, and I do still love the watch, I'll just love it more when it's got less flaws.
  2. I didn't even think of asking for a new dial, maybe I'll do this for the IWC since I"m planning on sending it out for more work anyway. Good points - but I'm nowhere near being able to do anything other than remove the back of the watch! I'm just so angry that both of the watches I ordered are messed up. I ordered from a good dealer so I'm sure that he'll work with me - I'm not angry at him just the situation. I hadn't planned on sending the PAM out for service since it's a lemania handwind, but I guess it wouldn't hurt if i'm already sending the IWC - I just would like my wife to be able to wear the thing first and in this shape, the chrono pusher falls right off if you look at it wrong. Thanks for the input guys.
  3. oh great to make matters worse, the Radiomir 42mm i ordered for my wife has a broken chrono pusher! It comes right off the watch!
  4. So i finally pulled the trigger and ordered an IWC 3717, well it arrived today and I eagerly opened it up for inspection. After i got it wound a bit by gently shaking it, i set the date time and checked teh chronos. Next i put my new 22mm black NATO strap on. I get ready to put it on when i see it. The 12 Triangle, 3 and 6 markers are all crooked! ARRRHRRRAJSLKAS:DAs Can this be fixed? Or should I contact the dealer and request a new watch? I'm so angry, been lusting for this thing for so long and i get this! I was planning on sending off to K2222 for double AR and datewheels then to The Zigmeister for service, but I guess I'll be putting that off longer unless someone knows if this can be fixed
  5. I only have two so far, both Tags, both anniversary gifts from my wife with my Link
  6. Well, she is very interested in this 204 with the lemania, so I think i'll spring for that - plus I can snag it everynow and then http://www.pc-80108.com/pn20401-radiomir-c...nos-p-2289.html An added bonus is I've read a lot of good things about that movement and it's cheaper to service than an automatic.
  7. That is absolutely brilliant. Amazing work The Zigmeister.
  8. Oh wow, thanks for the links! I'll start looking into these now
  9. The wife has hijacked my 005, but has admitted that she would rather have something smaller. So far I've only been able to find 40mm pams with the 7750, which I really want to steer clear of for her. Anyone know? I'd prefer a manual wind, but i don't think there are any of those either.
  10. Great shots! Thought i would share a couple of mine: shot early on, around 8:45pm EST: in full eclipse around 10:30pm EST: Here's a link to the full res, uncropped version of the 2nd picture, you can see what i'm told are Saturn and Regulus in this (warning, big pic!) http://photos.imageevent.com/section8/misc...lipse%20069.JPG
  11. Rotorheads unite! My FD going through the paces: ANd the wife in her RX8:
  12. lol, there's a nail head sticking up ever so slightly on the top of that deck railing. i need to hammer it back down.
  13. yeah, i really loved the movie, thought it was the best new bond flick in a long time, but the product placement was ridiculous. I don't mind it here and there, but at least be subtle about it .
  14. Been sporting my first gen a lot lately - the battery had died back in the Summer, and I hadn't had a chance to get it replaced until recently.
  15. I dunno, but Mario batali was wearing a nice IWC Big Pilot on Iron Chef last night
  16. I'm looking to get a Curve actually - it's the 3717 that he keeps taunting me with, the chicken lover.
  17. I hate you. Broke out a gen today, my Tag Heuer Targa Florio. Old shot because I don't have a current wrist shot:
  18. I would respectively submit that all of these things happen here in America too
  19. wow, that's a big jump in a year.
  20. looks like i need to do a photoshoot with my 1911
  21. Picked up my first 'new to me' piece since the DSN 177, only pic so far: Got from another forum member in an excellent transaction. I think the date wheel is kind of silver though or maybe it's my eyes? Needs CG mods and I may do a gen crown/tube and drill the lug holes for gen springbars but the ETA movement keeps SOLID time even after the shipping.
