Congrats on the upgrade, Mick!
I'm wearing my 027a right now, too. I also have the new t48 for the ETA autos, but I was lucky enough to score a gen B series crown guard from LOS.
Pics to come this weekend.
Wow, you guys wear some swanky jeans!
Honestly, GAP or *some* of the Express jeans are about all I wear. My wife loves the Lucky stuff, but their guys stuff seems to "busy" to me. I'm not into the hyper-worn washes or any real embroidery on the pockets, etc.
I'm boring...
I have these for those dressy summer occasions:

Got 'em for $50 on clearance at Dillard's, though, not $180.
Just when I thought the Ferrari lineup couldn't get any uglier...
As to the DLC question, I dunno, 'trooper. My suspicion would be that it's not real, though.
Since you're new here, I'll fill you in a bit.
This watch uses the ETA 2892-2 with a SOPROD power reserve module. These movements are rare as hen's teeth and very expensive. Thus the high pricetag on the 027/028/057. I have a 027A rep and it is WELL worth the money, IMO.
Heck, the last batch of 2892 powered 027/028s were selling for $700 or more and they had dials without the recessed PR scale (not to mention crappy standard rep PVD for the 28)!
If it's one of DSN's proprietary cases, modding will be needed to fit, as I don't think the holes will line up.
If it's one of his reps where he used a "normal" rep case, you should be good to go.
So far, so good, Mickey. Although, I haven't been paying that much attention.
FWIW, you should let the movement run-in for 6-8 weeks before regulating it. It can take several weeks to "settle in" to how fast/slow it will run.
Mickey, I'm looking forward to see how your t60 fits. As Kruzer has said, the issue could be with clearance inside the CG to accomodate both the date and time setting positions with a thicker crown. I know of someone with a gen A-D series CG that was pursuing having a batch made up, similar to what Kostas did with the H+ series CGs. I don't know where that project stands currently, however.
Well, Panerai is pretty famous for using other company's movements - Rolex, Angelus, JLC, Zenith, etc. Also, Minerva is owned by Richemont, as well. I'm sure that plays a big part.
