  1. I get most of my custom straps from Savage_Here. I don't think you can go wrong with Heroic or Simona, though I don't think you'll get 2 straps from Simona for $300... I don't know anything about StrapLuxe or Panda Chan, sorry.
  2. Neither do I, kruz, but I wanted to make sure. Happy New Year to you, BTW.
  3. I'm not 100% sure I understand your question, but I think you're asking if Davidsen's "Ultimate" 104 is better than the Cartel version. In which case, my answer would be yes, I'd give DSN's version a slight edge. Not to mention I think $428 is an insane price for that watch...
  4. That appears to be 100% Asian. I have no idea what the "going rate" is for these movements, but ~$170 strikes me as a bit pricey...
  5. I can't tell for certain but it looks like it could be a PAM089?
  6. How did I know that you'd have some pics of these movements squirreled away somewhere, babola? Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
  7. Ah, so it is. I think I was remembering back to a pic of the movement in a G series 005. It makes sense that the current models have the current decoration scheme. I stand corrected, square ETA bridges and CdG decoration with no swan neck, then. Thanks, PAMman!
  8. The 000 and 005 movement should look just like the A-D movements, AFAIK. Square ETA standard bridge shapes with the "PANERAIPANERAIPANERAI" graffiti decoration with no swan neck. Here is a pic of my old gen 002D's movement: I actually prefer this decoration to the current CdG decoration, but that's just me.
  9. I hate you. Looks great, as usual, Kruz. The now discontinued (?) 1176/3000 caseback is a nice touch, as well. Beautiful watch and virtually indistinguishable from the genuine article. Enjoy it and let me know if you ever tire of it! (Yeah, right!!!)
  10. Sure you *could* swap the casebacks around, on either the reps or the gens, but why?
  11. LOL You can say that again, W! ~$7K for a DLC'd Zero?
  12. The watch in my avatar is a Panerai 040. 44mm, titanium case and tritium lumed dial made in B series only. You're right, some of the vintage models that were created for military use would have been marked with only "Marina Militare" but those would have all been 47mm watches like the 6154 (Luminor style case with no CG), 6152-1 (Luminor case with CG) or the 3646 (Radiomir style case).
  13. Since this watch doesn't have any Panerai markings, it would more correctly be called an homage watch, instead of a rep. Either way, it's a great watch and Kurt is a wonderful member.
  14. TeeJay, what collar style are you going to wear? Double Windsors can look a little funny with point collars, with spread collars the DW is really the only way to go. Semi-spread is a bit more utilitarian. I'd say at least a half-Windsor, but more likely a double Windsor would be appropriate.
  15. The CG pin is an easy fix. No fix for the poor engraving/etching on the caseback, though.
  16. Another gen 003 dial, G? These the ones off 'Risti, then? I'll echo that I can't wait to see the finished product! If you want to move that 010 dial, let me know.
  17. Ding! Ding! Ding! Truer words were never spoken, Andy...
  18. Change "willing" to "ravenous" and that's probably more accurate.
  19. Great thinking! I never would have come up with that. Nice....
  20. Excellent! Did you give the lever/pin the ol' hot glue treatment, as well? That would keep the pin from working it's way loose, if that's a concern with it bumped back up like that.
  21. What does Ofrei get for gen PO dials? I'd pay about half of that, depending on the quality of the lume. EDIT -- Ofrei charges $222. So, yeah, about $100.
  22. CG is from......? Looks GREAT, avitt! You do need to give that CG pin a little lovin' though.
