  1. Looks fantastic, rolli! What a great project! I'll be contacting you about a PVD job shortly.....
  2. I fly USAirways all the time out of CLT. I try to spot watches, as well. The nicest watch I've ever seen in an airport or on a flight is an executive I sat next to on the way to Vegas. He was sporting a rose gold Patek with seconds at 6, not sure what the model was.
  3. In a lightly used Ocean7 G-1 GMT.
  4. Unless Deisel is PAYING him to wear it. Vic, the measure of another persons intelligence is the level to which he or she agrees with you.
  5. Not the best pic to judge from, but these sure look matte black to me. I've got a project like this in the works, too. Are you going to have to have the movement spacer modified to accomodate the 2893?
  6. Vic, I didn't imply that r11co wasn't a real person, I said it was possible that Neil was logging in with r11co's credentials since Neils acct is locked down. Those are two very different things, no? If I had a best mate that I felt was wrongly banned, I would be tempted to login with my account and post "his side" of the story... Perhaps my morals are just a bit more flexible than the average Joe? BTW, did you get my PM? Thanks!
  7. Agreed, sam. I don't believe Neil is a scammer, either. However after months of waiting for a watch that was already paid for, I would be tempted to use the word. Let me be perfectly clear, I don't know of anyone out there that didn't eventually get their watch (maybe not the original watch ordered, but a watch, still) at some point. After months of waiting I would start to wonder, though....
  8. Not at all. The price has nothing to do with my opinion on the matter. It simply figures that he's wearing a "fashion" brand watch, rather than a true watchmaking house, IMO. You can substitute Deisel, DKNY, Kenneth Cole, whatever. Now a celebrity like Jay-Z that owns VC, JLC, Pateks and the like shows a REAL interest in fine timepieces, not just in watches as jewelry. Who woulda thought?????
  9. I've never heard of a PAM 1973 Submersible, nor can I remember seeing a PAM with a red date ring at 6 o'clock. Did you say GREEN hands???? Get a pic of this thing, I gotta see it!
  10. I dunno, Sam. If I was one of the people who had been waiting for 6+ MONTHS for a watch that had already been paid for, I think the word "scammer" might have crossed my lips a time or two, as well.
  11. If the RG Breguet had a Seagull ST-19 manual real chrono movement in it, that would be a no-brainer for me with the white dial. Beautiful looking watch, the faux chrono/calendar thing absolutely kills it for me. I say IWC FA Jones...
  12. Don't worry Ken, he doesn't. There are three likely possibilities here for r11co: 1. He's one of Neil's cheerleaders and doesn't believe that TTK the Saint could ever do anything wrong. 2. He's a mate of Neil's and KNOWS that Neil almost certainly has done exactly what the staff has said he's done, and is now trying to do damage control. 3. It's Neil posting under a friends account and is attempting the damage control/spin himself. Agreed 100% on the point above. Regardless of the fact that Neil hasn't done any of the things he threatened to do, it doesn't excuse making them.
  13. Well, as it's a fantasy watch, I wasn't really concerned with accuracy, surfer. I just wanted to make the distinction as I'm not sure the fitment of the low dome and hi dome (even in the same 37.2mm size) is the same. That was the only reason I bothered to state what I got.
  14. The indices on DSN's engraved dial are too thick, and the 2 is the wrong shape for the 036 or any A/B series PAM. You're just trading one set of flaws for another. Plus it only works if he fills the indices completely with lume like the gens. Not a coating of lume and then varnish filled like the Pre-A stuff...
  15. We *know* he did with the staff at RWI in VERY similar circumstances. Why should RWGII be so different? I don't find it hard to believe...
  16. Who cares? He's a git, anyway. "What are the real footballers wearing?" is a better question!
  17. Yes, *acrylic* crystals are quite inexpensive. 37.2mm is the one you want. I had vaccum install my Sternkruez LOW DOME acrylic crystal and he said it fit better than any other one he's installed. Even so, you could still spin the crystal in the bezel after the install. vac offered to glue it, but since I wasn't worried about water resistance, I told him not to bother.
  18. This is the 44mm "mini-Fiddy" case, right? They are far less prone to crystal problems from reports on the forums. I believe it did happen to 1 or 2 guys over at RWI, though. The sad news is that I don't think anyone offers a sapphire crystal for this watch. The happy news is that CousinsUK has domed acrylic crystals that fit this watch, so if yours breaks, you have options. If you're cool with it being a fantasy watch, there's not really much more to talk about with this one. It's a fine watch, IMO.

    249?

The 45mm ones are reps of the RWC 1938A, instead. http://www.retrospectwatch.com/1938a.html
  20. Is the original movement Swiss like that one? I say leave it the way it is. Like I said, anyone who knows enough to spot the wrong movement will know it's a rep by the level/quality of decoration, anyway.

    249?

asad, DSN installed the AR coated sapphire from his 232 rep (same case) at my request. The watch has an unmarked solid caseback and unmarked crown.

    249?

I'm pretty fond on my unbranded/sterile "249" from DSN: Strap is from Savage, BTW.
  23. Even with a swan neck, that movement is wrong for your 219, sorry. The blue star on one of the wheels has no business being there. The bridges are the wrong shape AND wrong decoration. Rep movements are dead giveaways at any rate, to people who would know the differences between A-D, E-G and H-present movement decorations.
